Gisborne Golf Club - The View Bar and Restaurant

Family friendly dining at the edge of a golf club with beautiful views and safari park views, albeit Australian style. No lions but mobs of kangaroos and bird life aplenty.An interesting and diverse menu and good portion control. A relatively short wine list but good choices and variety.It is a golf club and we booked on a trivia night so it was busy. Nevertheless, service was brisk and efficient and we definitely didn’t feel left out or uncomfortable.Definitely recommend a visit, the food was very good and the meal was very good value.

We’ve been here several times before but must admit we felt a tad disappointed, table not ready, fish and chips a bit cool and greasy, service good, coffee good
