My husband and I wanted a quiet dinner for two, and we got that. Food was delicious. Generous portions.. if fact I had too much..lol.
Hi I’m quite disgusted as the venue manager would put a price of $19 for 6 chicken wings, where another ALH venue supplies 12 wings, and they are the same for $17. Same company. It’s pathetic. Also an increase of $8 on espresso martini. Get your act together and review your pricing..
As the building has some historical interest for us we have wanted an opportunity to visit for some time. The bistro was excellent, with moderate New Year's Day patronage. The background music was exactly that - background, which did not interfere with the conversation at the table. Our Seniors' serves were just the right size and we had a most enjoyable repast. The public holiday surcharge was understandable and worth it.
A little staff christmas lunch where the food was delicious and came out quickly, staff were friendly and also very helpful serving a birthday cake we brought for one of the team too.
As you would expect for this time of year, it was a very, very busy Bistro for lunching clientele. Even though I had to wait for nearly 25 minutes in the line up for the 1 staff member who was working the register and taking the orders? It was still good to see that all the available staff were running around fussing over the customers (a lot of them elderly, hence the slow line up to order). It was just good to see everyone was enjoying themselves and celebrating getting together. The food, service & the ambience of the Hallam Pub was terrific. My mother and I enjoyed our visit there so much we will definitely be going back again. Hallam Pub 10/10!!!
