Stillwater

One of the reasons why Stillwater likes Australia is that the waiters are super nice! It's rare to see a restaurant that goes from "filling the stomach" to "delicious"...

Nice environment. Delicious food. Great service. Very surprised that such a small place has such a wonderful restaurant.

I think this is the best restaurant in the whole of Tasmania. The service and treatment we receive is always excellent, courteous and professional. The staff are very knowledgeable about many good restaurants and excellent restaurants. The restaurant is clean and has a beautiful river view and is located close to Cataract Gorge, the CBD and accommodation northwest of town. A very good dining experience and highly recommended.

Be sure to try Tasmanian oysters, and I highly recommend dinner at Stillwater and Cataract on Paterson restaurants in Launceston. It’s best to make a reservation, because after that, everything else will be a dream.

I had read a lot of reviews about this place and went for breakfast and was a bit disappointed. My eggs benedict toast was so hard that the table was shaking when I cut it. The waiter (who was very good) noticed and replaced it with a fresh toast but unfortunately it was not much better. When I paid the bill, my coffee was free. But I was still disappointed to end my trip to Launceston with such an anticlimax.
