The dishes in this restaurant are particularly simple, there are no extra ingredients to add, but it feels very fresh, for the price, it feels very high, recommend this restaurant to everyone, it is recommended to book.

This is an Italian restaurant. The seafood they make is delicious.

So glad we came across this amazing little Italian restaurant. We enjoyed the gnocchi (my Italian friend thought it was better than her mums!) and penne alla vodka (best version I've ever had!). Service was lovely - the owner even walked us out to fetch us a cab. Wish I lived in Sydney - I'd eat here all the time!

When Memmo named his restaurant he may have had the ability to see into the future because this particular Barrel of Gold has been one of the great success stories of Leichhardt (in fact Sydney) restaurants. Almost 40 years later it is still dragging in the customers. We first ate there before it was four years old and we have returned several times since. Here is the greatest praise that can be given to an Italian restaurant in Sydney - whenever you go there you never fail to hear the voices of many of Memmo's compatriots - stanno chiacchierando e ridendo.
