Sanfang Qixiang Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
October, South Hou Street, Fuzhou
South Hou Street in Fuzhou starts from the west at Yangqiao intersection, and ends in the south at the intersection of Jibi Lane and Macau Road, with a total length of about 1000 meters. It is the central axis of the 'Three Lanes and Seven Alleys' in Fuzhou city. There are seven alleys on its east side and three lanes on its west side. It was the main commercial street from the rise of the Three Lanes and Seven Alleys in Fuzhou to the Republic of China period, with merchants gathered from north to south. South Hou Street is the central axis of the Three Lanes and Seven Alleys. The renovated South Hou Street will be full of ancient charm, and the width of the road will reach 12 meters, including a 7-meter-wide pedestrian street. South Hou Street, which starts from Yangqiao Road and ends at Jibi Road, is only 634 meters long. It is a leisure and cultural commercial street that combines tradition and modernity. Unfortunately, the old South Hou Street and some of the surrounding buildings were demolished from 2007 to 2009, and most of the existing buildings are replicas. With the construction of the new South Hou Street, many modern businesses have also entered this ancient area.
Now it is mainly about eating and drinking, which is quite suitable for the new generation.

Fuzhou Sanfang Seven Lanes to eat all Raiders h
Fuzhou Sanfang Qixiang originated in the Jin Dynasty, covering an area of about 40 hectares, consisting of three squares, seven lanes and a central axis Street South Street. The three squares are Yijinfang, Wenrufang and Guanglufang; Qizhixiang are Yangqiao Lane, Langguan Lane, Taxiang, Huangxiang, Anmin Lane, Gongxiang and Jipi Lane. The ancient layout of the alleys has remained largely intact.
The general tour of Sanfangqixiang is: South Back Street Gate, along the South Back Street, from left to right, you can visit Langguan Lane and Tower Lane. Tower Lane, turn right and buy a cup of Starbucks, and continue to swim in Huangxiang and Yijinfang with coffee. You can't miss the Shoushan Stone Carving Hall and Zong Taozhai. After swimming through these, you will find a few old Fuzhou snacks and fish balls in the central area of South Back Street. Fill your stomach and continue to visit Wenrufang and Anmin Lane. The focus of the tour is on Wenrufang, stop and take a look, and turn right to the Fujian Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo. Finally, visit the Palace Lane, Guanglufang, Jipi Lane. At the end of the South Back Street, there is a fixed photo at the stone monument of Sanfangqixiang, and the three squares and seven lanes are finished. If you walk along the three squares and seven lanes like the above position, you cant see why you cant see it. The real way to go is to pick one or two more interesting squares and go shopping. A house, as small as one brick and one watt.

Shangxiahang Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Shanghang Road and Xiahang Road in Taijiang and its nearby neighborhoods are commonly known as “Shuanghang”. It refers to two parallel horizontal streets from Xiaoqiaotou to Damiao Road. It was the commercial center and shipping dock of Fuzhou in the early years. "Hang" was originally derived from the "air" sound, which is the meaning of the pier. It has been the place where the tides have gathered since ancient times. There is a historical process of geographical change. In ancient times, the rivers bypassed the temples, and the upper and lower hangs were the mouths of the Jinkou. The star shifts and the hydrological changes. The original waterfront pier has gradually become the hinterland of riverside business and life with the increasing impact of land. Although Shanghang Street is slightly worn out compared with other places in Fuzhou, the people living here are so comfortable, I don’t feel that this is an old street surrounded by noisy cities around as if they still live in their own circles. Although this circle is fragile, it may not exist if it is not protected, but only one day, they will live in peace and harmony.
This is the most 'Jiangnan' place in Fuzhou, and it's so beautiful to wander around at this time~
I've always felt that Fuzhou, the treasure capital between the mountains and the sea, not only has the elegance of an ancient city but also the romance of a coastal city. It was not until I visited Shangxia Hang that I discovered its 'Little Jiangnan' side.
The relaxed nature of Fuzhou people is fully embodied here. Walking along the riverbanks of Shangxia Hang, you are shaded by lush banyan trees overhead and tread upon quaint and elegant stone bridges underfoot. Small boats creak and squeak as they pass under the bridge arches, while along the riverbanks are tea pavilions, palm-leaf fans, and jasmine tea.
This place is a commercial street, but not entirely so. Teahouses, cafes, and niche museums are scattered like pearls along both banks of the river embankment, with all kinds of delicious snacks and Fuzhou delicacies tucked in between, including peanut soup, taro paste, meat swallows, glutinous rice, small tangyuan, and old Fuzhou (restaurant). The sticky life in Fuzhou is really too wonderful~
I highly recommend visiting Shangxia Hang in the evening. Take advantage of the daylight to explore the niche museums and enjoy the food. When the sunset blue hour arrives and the lights come on, it's a whole new surprise and experience. Playing with two different feelings of Shangxia Hang in one go, this trip is definitely a win~
Shangxia Hang, the pitfalls I've stepped on, let's not repeat them!
Due to the tight schedule, I only stayed in Fuzhou for half a day,
but it felt like two days' worth of fun!
Itinerary: Sanfang Qixiang➡️Yantai Mountain➡️Shangxia Hang➡️Diyi Fuzhou Street➡️Jiefang Bridge (Youth Square)
📍Sanfang Qixiang: Check in at the Love Tree🌲, order Tang Mo Tea Xi in advance, and enjoy the stroll!
📍Yantai Mountain: Take the subway line 1 from Sanfang Qixiang, 4 stops straight to Yantai Mountain Park; Yantai Mountain commercial street is really lovely, perfect for a city walk
📍Shangxia Hang: Take the bus from Yantai Mountain to Shangxia Hang, the exterior is under renovation, and since I was really too tired to walk, I just sat outside and rested for a while, just to say I've been there
📍Diyi Fuzhou Street & Youth Square (Jiefang Bridge): Finally, walk to Fuzhou Street, then cross the overpass to Youth Square; the overpass is very photogenic, you can't miss it! Youth Square is the top choice for night views! Enjoy the breeze, fly a kite, it's so comfortable!
❗️Recommendation❗️: Must drink Tang Mo Tea Xi! Had 3 cups in half a day! Who understands!
One regret, the time was too rushed, didn't get to sit down and enjoy a coffee
Fun times, will visit again!
Fuzhou is not only famous for its Three Lanes and Seven Alleys, but also for the less crowded and picturesque Shangxia Hang
In the bones of the people from the south, the misty rain of the water towns in Jiangnan is etched into their souls: white walls, black tiles, small bridges, flowing water, bluestone slabs, carrying the breath of ink paintings that hit you in the face, the water towns that have haunted my dreams so many times... And Fuzhou has such places, with few people and beautiful scenery, even the faint jasmine fragrance of the milk tea in your hand tells of the beauty of the Jiangnan water towns...
"To be infatuated with a place in life, without dreaming of going to Jiangnan," I have thought of many introductions to Fuzhou, but none are as good as visiting it yourself: sitting in a Chinese-style boat, gazing at the Min-style architecture scattered along the two banks, listening to the cicadas singing in the trees, drinking milk tea... as if time slows down,

Fujian's least known seaside town, a holiday rush
Lianjiang is a lesser-known coastal city in Fujian, where you can enjoy the sea view along the coastline🌊, with large lawns for camping, wooden walkways leading to the sea🚶♀️, and Qida Village that resembles Rio de Janeiro🏖️, as well as clean beaches for sea foraging🌊, offering scenery that is no less beautiful than other seaside cities.
✈️It's convenient to get there via Fuzhou Changle Airport or by🚅 high-speed train to Lianjiang Station. The attractions are also only a twenty-minute drive apart, making it suitable for self-driving or renting a car to visit the sites.
🚗Recommended route: Fisherman's Island→Beijiao Village→Pingliuwei Geological Park→Gushi Village→Qida Village→Qiguan Top→Huangqi Beach🏖️.
🌟Attraction travel tips:
Fisherman's Island: Features a rainbow dam, hand-painted walls, and various photo spots, suitable for a short visit.📸😍
Beijiao Village: The entire fishing village is surrounded by the sea on three sides, where you can watch the sunrise, and there is a wooden walkway leading to the sea.🌅🌿
Pingliuwei Geological Park: Unique marine erosion landscape, admission is thirty💰, with seaside walkways🚶♀️ and several viewing platforms.👀
Gushi Village: A small fishing village nestled between mountains and sea, with a large lawn for camping and picnicking, now villagers charge twenty for sanitation fees.🍱🌿
Qida Village: A simple fishing village with colorful houses🏠, at a glance you can see the spectacular fish rafts and moored fishing boats🚢.
Qiguan Top: Climb up one thousand eight hundred steps to the top, from where you can view Qida Village and feel like you're in Rio de Janeiro.🏔️🌇
Huangqi Beach: Drive straight to the beach, the beach area is vast during low tide, and the sand is clean for foraging and digging.🌊🤩
The holiday is coming, and for those who are still hesitating about where to go, consider this place~😘😘

Pingtan's Blue Tears🪼 are about to experience a major outbreak! Make your travel plans and rush over!
👉Science Time👈
❌Blue Tears are not real tears, they are the light emitted by fluorescent algae in the sea
❌"Blue Tears" usually appear from April to August each year
❌Pingtan's Blue Tears have a major outbreak every year from April to May, with the best viewing time at night
👉Below are a few places where they commonly appear: 🔥Liuxiu Village: A place where Blue Tears appear frequently
🔥Changjiang'ao: Also has a high probability
🔥Mojing Village and Dongmei Village: Less popular but also beautiful beaches
🔥Houyan Island: A less-known island with clear waters, and if you're lucky, you might see a pink beach.
🔥Tianmei'ao and Longfengtou: Suitable for watching the sunset🌅
🌟Tips: You can rent a car, and it's easier to park if you're traveling in even numbers🛵
🌈Photography tips:
📸Prepare a tripod and a shutter release, adjust the appropriate exposure time and 📸please open the aperture to the maximum to capture the stars
📸Use a wide-angle lens to fill the frame with "Blue Tears"
📸It's best to turn off the flash when shooting
📸You can include subjects like people or footprints as elements to add liveliness to the picture
🚲If you don't see the Blue Tears, it's okay, Pingtan has many other hidden gems to check out
🚲Bike around the island! Enjoy a pleasant island bike ride in the fresh sea breeze
🚲Changjiang'ao Wind Power Station! 📷A popular windmill photo spot with a great atmosphere For girls, taking beautiful photos is the most important😛 So I've prepared some photo-taking tips for girls:
🌊Wear light-colored clothes for a better look! The color of Blue Tears is quite pale, so wearing light-colored clothes can blend in with the glow.
🌊Bring some small props! Such as balloons, bouquets, hats, sunglasses, etc.
❗❗Attention❗❗ Always be cautious when going to the beach😊 Do not go to unfamiliar beaches alone. Also, please take your trash with you to protect the beach environment.
🚗Pingtan-Lianjiang
The next day we also went to Qidacun in Lianjiang, about an hour's drive from Pingtan. Although it involves climbing a mountain, the process is not boring at all, because the scenery along the way is just too beautiful
This is the most beautiful place I've ever climbed, second to none👌Reaching the top of the mountain is an overwhelming experience that can't be put into words, 🉑Charge (Lianjiang has other fun attractions besides Qiguanding)
🏠Accommodation
The first thing upon arriving in Lianjiang is to book a hotel. I stayed at the Dinghai Bay Ruolin Hotel, which I can only say is value for money. Their service, the oceanfront view, these are indeed beyond words, and their hotel also includes a restaurant with good taste and a large scale, and the beach is just downstairs🏖️
Not abroad! It's Fuzhou! It felt like I went to Rio de Janeiro!
I've been longing to visit Qida Village, and finally, I'm here to check in. When I walked over 1800 steps and saw the azure sea and the fishing village all at a glance, it really felt a bit like Rio de Janeiro. This hike was truly worthwhile.
☑️Address
Qiguan Top, Qida Village, Fuzhou City
☑️Transport
Take the high-speed train to 'Lianjiang Station', you can choose to hire a private car to get there; we shared a ride with others, 30 yuan per person one way. You can also take the bus to Qida from Lianjiang Bus East Station, the journey takes about 1h to arrive.
☑️【Accommodation】
Dinghai Bay Ruolin Hotel
The only high-end hotel around Qida Village (I didn't expect it to be so affordable ). The room is very spacious, with floor-to-ceiling windows + an unbeatable sea view. You can see the sunrise just by lifting the curtains in the morning. The room comes with complimentary drinks and tea sets.
You can enjoy tea while admiring the beautiful view outside the window.
Just a few dozen meters downstairs is the quiet Dinghai Bay beach, very peaceful and pleasant. Inside the scenic area, there is a hotel's own seafood restaurant, the prices are very reasonable, you can eat there with confidence.
☑️Touring tips
1⃣️For those who don't want to climb 1800 steps, you can also take a taxi directly to Baiyun Temple, which is about a 20-minute walk to the top of the mountain.
2⃣️No admission fee is required for the tour, and there are self-service water sales along the way.
3⃣️The fence with the wishing plaques is the best spot for photos, be sure to pay attention to safety!
4⃣️Be sure to go on a sunny day, got a bit sunburned, but it's really too beautiful! The wind is also very strong, remember to apply sunscreen.
