Parliament Hill Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Canada’s Parliament
Parliament Hill is where Canada’s parliament, house of commons and senate are located. This is a must see in Ottawa. They resemble to British monuments and a combination of other gothic architecture. Being in an open park offers the possibility for great pictures and paying attention to the buildings. Located just next to the river makes it a magnificent place to see sunset and going for a walk. Around the Parliament Hill you will also see many statues and monuments connected to war and noble Canadians. Just next to the main parliament building, you have the chance of being in a balcony that offers views of the Gatineau and some other old buildings, such as the Confederation one. The only drawback for photo lovers may be that there is construction but they need to be maintained.

The Confederation Building - The Parliament
This stunning and dazzling "civil gothic" structure right next to the West block is an office building of most of the government workers. This building is very huge and it was once part of the Main buildings in the Parliament Hill. This building is now called Classified Federal Heritage Building. I was just walking by the Parliamenr Hill and saw this amazing structure.
The House of Lights at the Parliament Hill
I was in Ottawa and went to Parliament Hill and I just cannot stop watching this building right in front of the Parliament.

Centre Block Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
The West Block-Western Departmental Building
One of the 3 Main Buildings at the Parliament Hill also called as the Western Departmental Building. It has housed the House of Commons Chamber, installed to accommodate the house while the Centre block is closed. It also houses offices of the pariamentarians, a house of the library of parliament. The building looks amazing with its Victorian High Gothic Style. The west block can be seen in the Canadian five-dollar bill.

The EAST Block - Parliament Hill
Just beside the historic Rideau Canal, this building is a very good example of the High Victorian Gothic Revival Style. It was originally built to house the offices of the senators and the member of the parliament. Today, parts of the building are going under preservation. This building is one of the 2 buildings that survived mostly from the original construction. Not as famous as the Centre Block its design appeared on the face of the Journey Series design of the Canadian hundred-dollar bill.

The Centre Block - The Parliament
This is the main building of the 3 buildings of the Parliament Hill. It houses most of the politicians here. It seems to be in the process of renovation or preservation. The view right now is not as good when it is in the regular days. There are aome big cranes when you take a picture of it at the present. This building is also very famous because if they see this building they know it is in Canada. The Centre block can be see in the $10, $20 and $50
Downtown Rideau Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Arts, Fashion and Theater District - Rideau
I was fortunate I was able to book a lodge that was just near downtown Ottawa. This area which we call Downtown Rideau is very famous because it is like the main street of the city where you have lots of establishements and big malls. You can see a lot of shops if you want to go shopping and also there arr restaurants that you can go and eat. The people around this area are also very nice when I was walking around.

Art on Walls and Boxes (Post and Phone)
When you are in Ottawa try to check their Canadian Post boxes and also those boxes for the telephone line or computer/internet boxes. Mostly are covered with art. Each box has a different style or artwork placed on it. Also I noticed that most of the walls have art. They try to make the place as beautiful as possible by creating those wall designs and it also looks at night and most of all during daytime.

National Gallery of Canada Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
The National Gallery of Canada
The National Gallery of Canada looks totally different during the day. Also the weathere is not ao good. It was raining and it was very difficult to take pictures of the place. If you compare it with the night shots, it's not so dazzling. But what is important is the inside. Their are lots of awesome artworks that are ready to be explored. Just make sure you are ready to pay for the entrance fees because it is NOT free.

The National Gallery of Canada, a collection of modern art and numerous collections.
The National Gallery of Canada is located in the heart of Ottawa, and it takes about 10 minutes to walk from the Byward Market. The museum has a collection of the most valuable works of art in Canada and Europe and has a long history. The number of Canadian art exhibited in the museum is the highest in the world, while the number of European and American art is the highest in Canada.
If you come close to see the huge bronze spider sculpture "Maman" at the door, the instructions will come. But I feel like I have seen it in many places and I can't think of it.
I think that the design of the glass crystal of the museum itself is already a tribute to the design! The museum has three floors. The third floor is the exhibition room of Asian art, modern art, European art, the second floor is Canadian art and Eskimo art, and the first floor has a very fine bookstore (like every art gallery or The museum will have some related souvenir shops nearby.)
The museum needs to buy tickets for the visit, 12 Canadian dollars for adults, 10 Canadian dollars for seniors and students, 6 Canadian dollars for teenagers, free for children under 11 years old and members, free to buy tickets for cash.
Many people mistakenly think that Toronto is the capital of Canada. Actually, its capital is the city where I am now, Ottawa.
Just after a heavy snowfall in early April, Ottawa seems to be baptized, and the sky is particularly clear and transparent. If you are on a tight day, choose a few classic places:
- Capitol Hill, made up of three Gothic buildings, is the seat of the Canadian federal government and is a symbol of Ottawa and even Canada.
- Peace Pagoda, known as the world's finest Gothic building, is also the tallest building in the Capitol.
- The Changming Fire Station was built to commemorate the founding of Canada for a hundred years and has been burning since 1967. The three places above
are all in the same place and it is very convenient to visit.
Ridau Canal: The 202-kilometer canal smashes the history of the city, and every Ottawa is proud of the important historical and historical status of the Rideau Canal.
National Art Museum: Canada's cultural treasures and collections of art and culture, the works of famous Renaissance artists and world-class artists have been exhibited and treasured here.
National History Museum: It is a good place to learn about Canada's 20,000 years of human history, human history, and people's cultural diversity.
Check in at the "Lord Elgin Hotel", all of which are within 2 km of the nearby area and within walking distance.
