The French Comedy Theatre, located in the first district of Paris, is the oldest national theatre in France. On October 21, 1680, it was founded under the orders of Louis XIV. It was formed by the merger of the former Moliere Opera Troupe with the Malay Opera Troupe and the Burgundy House Opera Troupe. It is located at the corner of the streets of Richelieu and Saint-Onorey in Paris.
