Situated on the Bank of Likas Bay, Shaba Mosque, built in 1997, covers an area of one hectare. It is a typical contemporary Islamic building and one of the most magnificent mosques in Malaysia with sunset scenery. Built on a man-made lake in the Gulf of Ricas, it feels like it's floating on the surface of the water, thus gaining the reputation of "Water Mosque". The amazing white building shape is perfectly integrated with the blue sky.
