Havana's new city streets are wide and tree-lined. There are several upscale hotels near the sea, and the palace-like Cuban National Hotel opened on December 30, 1930, when it was the most luxurious hotel in the Caribbean. There are government offices, residential houses, small shops, and several relatively large shopping malls and supermarkets on the streets of Xincheng. The streets are run by brightly colored classic cars, small COCOs, carriages, and tricycles. Although there aren't many high-rise buildings, the long coastline, coloured buildings, tall plants, blue sky and white clouds make up the beautiful Havana.
