Right next to the pagoda, but without signposts - probably not knowing it was there, but getting friendly help from a vendor. The small temple is located in front of the majestic Shwesandaw tower, but it appears to be built later than the pagoda built in the 11th century. The temple hangs a statue of the reclining Buddha in the position of " Paranirvana", which is like reminiscent of the moment of death. The statue is about 30 m long, with its eyes closed and its body stiff. There are murals of flowers and trees on the walls to remember that Buddha's death occurred in the park.
