The building is ancient and spectacular and awe-inspiring. We were lucky to be in Basilica hosting a female choir at the time, so we were lucky to hear their delightful songs while exploring the magical stained glass windows and gorgeous columns. Although there was a long queue when we entered the door, we waited 20 minutes, but it was worth it.

The Cathedral of Notre Dame in Ottawa is located near Capitol Hill, opposite the Canadian Fine Arts Museum, across the street from the big spider at the entrance of the museum. Every time I wander around, I pass by this church, but unfortunately I didn't go in to see it.
The Notre Dame Cathedral in Montreal refreshed my understanding of the church. When I first came here, I saw the gate closed. I thought it was not open. The same is the Church of Our Lady, the church in Ottawa is too far away than Montreal, of course, it is great to take pictures on sunny days, but the church is closed all year round, not open for visits (of course, I can't find the door), only outside.
The biggest difference between the cathedral of the Virgin Mary and the Church of the Virgin Mary in Ottawa is that its exterior roof is metallic, in the sun, silvery light, let everyone praise its beauty, today is the time for worship inside, solemn and warm.
