Travelodge Manchester Ancoats Hotel Reviews

A great location close to Manchester Victoria station loads of bars and clubs and niche shopping. Was here for a music gig the other side of the city but Uber there and back was very easy. The hotel staff were all incredibly friendly and fun and the morning breakfast was extensive and a good selection of most things. It’s a clean and surprisingly quiet hotel as it’s right on a very busy main road. It’s a budget hotel so not too many frills no fridge or iron but everything worked really well good bed and good shower and for me that’s the main selling factor of a hotel room.

The hotel was clean, tidy, with simple amenities. The only criticisms are that due to the location of the hotel it is noisy as it is located right next to a main road. Also, the rooms can get very warm as there is no air conditioning.

I’ve booked a room with a bathtub, and the staff designated a room without it. I can accept they could make a mistake, but the staff didn’t apologize for his mistake when I asked for a room change.

Just ok, hotel with good connection but, I did not like that the internet is a separate service

The hotel environment is good, but the location is farther away, about 10 minutes walk from the nearest light rail station

Nice clean hotel, friendly staff, easy check in, my only complaint is bed was uncomfy as a bit too hard for me but thats personal choice would def recommend & nice & easy for AO arena only 10 mins walk.

Alex on reception was very polite and helped me to check in without any issues. The room was clean and tidy. However the huge crane that started up at 06.15 right outside my bedroom window was most unwelcome and disturbed my sleep, especially as I had a day packed full of activities. It was also at this point that I discovered that the windows didn't have a very good seal! I had to check that the window was actually physically closed! My second night stay was very good until the robotic hoover was let loose outside my door, along the corridor! A great invention but quite annoying when you are still trying to sleep! The hotel was in a great location and only a 5 min walk from the city centre which was very convenient.

I have stayed here several times and as it's located in the city, you always expect traffic noise. What isn't acceptable is my room, 103, was directly over a closed side street where there was ongoings building works.... which started at 6.45 on a Saturday! I spoke to Paul, the manager, who suggested writing in and/or complaining to Manchester Council. Travelodge must be aware of this as the works are ongoing. There was a machine with telescopic arms to reach high up the building opposite, a tractor, digger and lots of building guys on site. Building works during midweek after 8am is ok but 6.45 on a Saturday is totally unacceptable and customers should NOT be placed in rooms on that side of the hotel. Shame on you Travelodge!

We stayed this weekend and it was very pleasant, the hotel was clean and tidy. All the staff were really friendly and helpful - particularly Paul who checked us in, and very kindly gave us quicker directions to our next destination. Will definitely stay again.

No air con in any rooms, the bathroom made some loud weird noise every hour and there was a nightclub very close by that you could hear the beat ALL NIGHT. We didn't sleep well at all. I won't be staying at a Travelodge again

Two nights stay. Woken at 07:10 and 06:30 each morning by crane outside bedroom window. When complained at reception I was told to complain to Manchester Council. Tired rooms (cracked basin and chipped furniture). Disappointing experience.

Have stayed many times before and always have the most helpful and kind staff. Room was clean and beds are very comfortable. Was even provided complimentary breakfast. Emma was very helpful with getting a speedy early check in. Will definitely be staying again.
