Dahantai Western Han Tomb

The Dabaotai Western Han Tomb is the underground palace of Liu Jian (73 BC-45 BC), the Qing king of Guangyang in the Western Han Dynasty more than 2,000 years ago. The museum was built on the original site. The underground palace burial system of Liu Jian, the Qing king of Guangyang in the Western Han Dynasty, was of high standard, and he used the Han "system of the emperor", which was historically known as "Zi Palace, Bianfang, and Huangchang inscriptions". The entire underground palace is constructed of hundreds of cubic meters of precious wood such as cypress and nanmu. It is large in scale and has a special structure. In addition, there are practical real chariots and horses buried in the tomb passage, which are the "Red Spotted Wheel Green Covered Chariot" for the crown prince and princes and princes to ride. More than a thousand cultural relics have been unearthed, including bronze, iron, jade, lacquer, agate, gold, pottery and silk fabrics. In addition to the exhibition, the museum also launched the "Etiquette of Throwing Pots" activities for the audience to participate in and interactive projects such as "Archaeology Little Soldiers". In recent years, the museum has added ancient Chinese science and technology, including "traveling through time and space and experiencing ancient scientific and technological life", handwritten bamboo slips, rubbings, and games such as comparing with the ancients.
