Jackson (Andrew) Park

It's also inside Chicago, right next to the University of Chicago, next to the Great Lakes. But there are really few people. Here are some famous replicas of architecture and sculpture, which are not in keeping with the surrounding environment, very strange feeling.

Jackson Park was transformed into the fair grounds for the 1893 World's Fair by Frederick Law Olmsted (of Central Park fame). While the park has changed over the years, many original designs remain, including a manmade lagoon and some of the original light posts. Don't miss the Statue of the Republic, a smaller-scale replica of the original statue that serves as a symbol of the fair.

Cross the bridge over the lagoon. Voila - Japanese tranquility. Look back towards the Museum of Science & Industry. You may spy the ghost of Clarence Darrow.
