In the spring, Xichan Temple is a vision of springtime (with a guide)
The Xichan ancient temple, built during the Tang Dynasty, is located in the western part of the Gulou District in Fuzhou, right next to the Fuzhou University Zhicheng College. The entrance road is lined with blooming Bauhinia trees, their vibrant purple, pink, and white flowers set against the red walls, creating a leisurely atmosphere of a spring outing with a hint of summer heat.
The entrance pavilion and pond are reminiscent of Jiangsu and Zhejiang gardens, and from there, one can already see the Bao'en Pagoda landscape. However, if you're here to worship, don't hurry across the arched bridge; follow the shaded path on the left to reach the main axis of the temple.
Xichan Temple is a well-preserved ancient temple with little elevation difference, making it an easy walk even for the elderly. Although the original buildings from 867 are hard to discern through the ashes of history, the current structures are based on Qing Dynasty reconstructions. Yet, through the deep dougong brackets and the layered grandeur of the Arhat Hall, one can still glimpse the Tang Dynasty charm.
The Jade Buddha Tower, as the name suggests, houses two jade Buddhas with serene demeanors and lifelike appearances; the statues in the Huayan Three Saints Hall are majestic, and looking up at them can be quite awe-inspiring. For rest, one can sit in front of the Guanyin Pavilion to watch the pigeons fly, then slowly step into the hall.
Leaving the shade of the lychee trees and Bauhinia, one can still feel the lingering charm, and from across the street, the view of the Bao'en Pagoda and Arhat Hall, along with the floral scenery of the path, can be fully appreciated.

Xichan Temple, since the temple was built, has planted lychees everywhere, and the habit of "climbing lychees on the mountain" for thousands of years has spread to the present. The existing Song Yu has withered four times, the trunk center has withered and decayed, and only the outside of the remaining less than 10 cm thick cortex supports, strong survival. Under the careful care of the temple monks, Song Yu's fate changed and he was successful again. 7/8 I went to the lychee meeting. The staff was picking Song Yu and asked for 2. The first time I ate the lychee that just left the tree, I was lucky. Xichan Temple is majestic, orderly, exquisite and magnificent. Whether you enjoy the scenery or burn incense and worship Buddha for safety, you can come to Xichan Temple to walk around, avoid the noise of the world, and feel the special beauty of Buddhist culture and art. Tickets 20, each place to worship incense, there is incense placed, take it yourself, a stove of incense, very orderly. There is also tea supply, very for the sake of the pilgrims.
Xichan Temple, one of the five major Buddhist forests in Fuzhou, is a national key temple, located at the top of Yishan Mountain in the western suburbs, on the west side of Industrial Road. The ancient temple gate is engraved with a pair of plaques: "The four sycamore trees are passed down in the Song Dynasty, and the bells are sounding in the Tang Dynasty." This is a joint sentence written by Zhou Lian in the Qing Dynasty, and it is pointed out that "Xichan Temple" is the ancient temple of the Tang Dynasty.
Xichan Temple, just next to Fuzhou Vientiane City, the red monastery building, in the sunshine of Fuzhou, is more eye-catching, from the outdoor platform of Vientiane City, it is very beautiful! Vientiane City is also delicious! There is a Japanese cuisine that is very good.
Xichan Temple Travel Notes: The heart is not quiet, so the ticket for the ancient temple is 20. Student half price QR code payment. There is a ticket at the door. I originally only wanted to see the scenery. Take a photo and take a walk. I stopped and took photos. When I thought about things, I went to the Pagoda. I felt that I took a few more photos. An uncle with a kind eye came up to him: "Little beauty, don't leave in a hurry after taking a photo, you go to the top to see, go around the tower, it is very beneficial. Amitabha" I didn't believe this, but it was difficult to be kind, index to see, go up to see the comments, walked a circle, do not want, really clear a lot. So there is a harvest. Walking to the bridge to see the fish, there are birds stretching their wings, there are turtles breathing, one person sprinkled a handful of breadcrumbs and surrounded a pile of fish. Very interesting. A father took the child and walked on the corridor and said: Bye to Guanyin Dashi. The child did it and left. I think this is life, and I think this is faith. I have been in a cage for a long time and I have returned to nature. As a college student, learning is my job, but too many things trap us, and my busy little tour can be described as full of gains. But no matter how beautiful the scenery is, you have to leave, because the world needs us, and we can't leave the world. When we go out, the door is engraved: Back is the shore
From Wushan Road through the Second Ring Road, you can get to the West Chan Temple. It also belongs to the tourist attractions of Fuzhou, and can be arranged in this way if you travel one day (three lanes and Seven Lanes --- gt; Wushan --- gt; Yushan --- gt; Xichan Temple). In addition to praying for Buddha, Xichan Temple is also a scenic spot worth visiting. The garden style inherits the typical characteristics of Jiangnan, but there is no lack of atmosphere. There are many people during the Spring Festival. If you want to savor it carefully, it is suggested that the peak should be staggered (non-traditional holidays).
Just on the industrial road, the traffic is very convenient, the building inside is very beautiful, the Pagoda is now locked and not allowed to go up, but there is a loft of Luohantang next to it, and you can see the city overlooking it. At 3:30 in the afternoon, the temple is the time for monks and believers to recite the scriptures. You can see it at the entrance of the temple, quite solemn.
