the symbol of hakodate is in the post.
Original Text
JR There was a squid post here at the entrance and exit of the west exit of Hakodate Station. As you can see, it is a post with a character with a squid motif, which is a symbol of Hakodate, with a cute smile. Right next door was a monument to the Hakodate Main Line 0 Mile Point, engraved with "0 Mile".
It was on the morning market side of Hakodate station station building.

JR Hakodate Station is a new and clean station. The station square was also maintained, and the flower beds were very clean. There was a squid post here near the entrance and exit of the morning city side of Hakodate Station. The post was filled with a cute squid character full of smiles, and the letter "Welcome to Hakodate!" was also written.
It was a postbox with a characteristic appearance adjacent to the outer wall of Hakodate Station, and it was too conspicuous to be mistaken for a monument that I didn't notice. Since it is installed outdoors without a roof, it is covered with snow and I had to be careful about posting mail.

When I left Hakodate Station, I stood side by side with the "0 Mile Post" monument. It was too strange from the outside and it didn't look like a mailbox, so it seemed to be awkward to actually post it.
If you go out of Hakodate Station toward the morning market, the station front post is located right after you leave. It seems that it has the shape of a squid after Hakodate, the town of squid, but the posting port is not conspicuous. I feel like the Icarl Stars have an impact, but the mail did not smell squid.

It was snowing because it was outdoors ❄
