It is a ruin dug in the volcanic ash formation and is the ruins of a horizontal tomb. The layers of volcanic ash deposited around here are soft and easy to dig, so there are similar ruins here and there.

Izu Peninsula Geopark, a gift of a volcano from the south. The same is true of this Kitaema Yokoho group, which is an archaeological site dug in the volcanic ash formation. From the direction of Mishima on the Izu Chuo Expressway, you can see the Ema Strawberry Picking Center on your left at the intersection with a signal on your right. In fact, it seems that many horizontal tombs exist not only here but also from the northeast. I think it is very interesting for those who have a hobby like Tamori.
