Lewes Castle & Museum

Lewis Castle, located in the town of Lewes east of Brighton, is also known as Bree Castle, a Norman-era castle with nearly a thousand years of history. The castle was first built in 1069, mainly in wood structure, and later changed to stone construction, abandoned years later renovated in 1846, in 1922 the castle established a museum, open to the public to visit.
