Lisbon Travel Guide

Lisbon, the westernmost European capital city, lies with the Sintra Mountains to the north and the Tagus River to the south. This old city with a long and storied history is built atop seven hills, its topography undulating between high and low. Buildings are constructed like mountain ranges, with old churches and monuments found throughout its dense medieval atmosphere. The new city district is a veritable forest of modern buildings. Even though the World Exposition Park is far away, it is still a good destination for for a leisurely walk. There is also the area of Belém replete with a nautical atmosphere, where you can walk and admire the exquisite architecture in the the glow of the setting sun. A sunset like this is absolutely unforgettable!

#timetotravel Park José Gomes Ferreira in Lisbon is a charming urban park that captures the essence of community and leisure. My visit here was a delightful experience. The park's lush green lawns, shaded by tall trees, provide a welcoming space for picnics, relaxation, and outdoor activities. Families and friends gather here to enjoy sunny days, and the sense of camaraderie is palpable. One of the park's highlights is its beautiful pond, where ducks glide gracefully on the water. It's a tranquil spot that invites reflection and a sense of peace. The playgrounds and sports facilities cater to visitors of all ages, making it an inclusive destination for recreation. I also discovered that the park hosts cultural events and performances, adding to its vibrant atmosphere. Park José Gomes Ferreira is a testament to the importance of green spaces within cities, offering a sense of community and a place to connect with nature amidst the urban landscape of Lisbon. #portugal #lisbon

#timetotravel The Park of Necessidades in Lisbon is a hidden gem that combines history, elegance, and natural beauty. My visit here was a delightful discovery. This park, once a royal garden, boasts meticulously landscaped gardens, ornate fountains, and charming pathways that lead to unexpected surprises around every corner. The centerpiece is the Necessidades Palace, an exquisite 18th-century building that adds a touch of regal grandeur to the park. Strolling through the park, I felt transported back in time, as if I were walking through a bygone era of Portuguese royalty. The lush greenery and the serene atmosphere create a sense of calm and tranquility, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely afternoon. The Park of Necessidades is a peaceful oasis in the heart of Lisbon, offering a delightful blend of history and nature for visitors to explore and enjoy. #portugal #lisbon

The airport is the main international gateway to Portugal. As of 2022, it was the 14th-largest airport in Europe in terms of passenger volume, and carried 190,700 tonnes of cargo. #timetotravel Santa Justa Lift was built in the 1902 to connect the lower part of the town to the upper part of the town. We visited during the late afternoon and there was a queue to get tickets at the box office. Although the queue passes quite quickly, if you hate to queue it is perhaps better to go in the morning when they open!! Or, alternatively, you could walk up to the observation deck in the upper part of the town if you wish to avoid the crowd. I personally quite enjoy the elevator ride, as it is the perfect blend of history and modernity. The observation deck no doubts offers amazing views of lisbon, how cute are all the houses with the brick red roof!! I would recommend taking the lift if you’re in Lisbon if the queue is not ridiculously long!! But one way or the other, you definitely should go up to the observation deck on the upper part of the town!! #境外遊 #lisbon #portugal #santajustalift

#timetotravel We came during late afternoon on a weekday and the Time Out Market was quite empty. You may consider this a tourist trap but honestly we saw quite a few locals dining at the Time Out Market and the food is not too expensive. At the end of the day, as long as the food is good and not overpriced, i’m happy ☺️ This market is ideal for tourists that wants to try out different kind of local dishes. We ordered a portion of tuna tartare and ham served with melon and sourdough. Everything was so fresh and amazing!!! The melon and ham combo was so amazing, I still dream about it this day 🤤😋 Hands down, I would 100% recommend visiting this market. #境外遊#foodmarket#lisbon

#summerbreak Want a vibrant summer? Don’t miss Lisbon‼️ Lisbon, the vibrant capital of Portugal, is a captivating destination to explore during the summer months. With its warm climate and sunny skies, the city comes alive with energy and excitement. Stroll through the charming neighborhoods of Alfama and Bairro Alto, adorned with colorful facades, lively cafes, and stunning viewpoints. Don't miss the iconic Tram 28, a vintage yellow tram that winds its way through Lisbon's narrow streets, offering a nostalgic and picturesque ride. Spend lazy afternoons at the beautiful beaches of nearby Cascais or take a boat trip along the Tagus River to enjoy the refreshing sea breeze. Indulge in the rich flavors of Portuguese cuisine, from fresh seafood to delectable pastries like pastel de nata. Lisbon in summer is a melting pot of history, culture, and natural beauty, making it an ideal destination for an unforgettable vacation.

Páteo - Bairro do Avillez
⭐️ Overall rating: 5/5
🍽 Recommendation: Ham, Passion fruit with coconut sorbet
💁 Service: Good
💰 £40 per person
📍 Location: R. Nova da Trindade 18, 1200-303 Lisboa, Portugal
The seafood restaurant in Lisbon is tasty and the vibe here is very nice.
The prawns with garlic sauce is better than what I had in Spain. The prawns are very fresh.
Ham is a little bit dry and it is also my favourite.
Chargrilled squid is the must try food and the squid is very big and well cooked.
Additionally, passion fruit with coconut sobet is the best choice. The fresh taste inside and the fruity taste outside creates a great balance!#Lisbon #境外遊 #foodie
