The cost for a four-person tour to Grass Sea is 35 yuan per person, and the lake tour lasts about one and a half hours. 3️⃣Grass Sea, Walking Marriage Bridge The Walking Marriage Bridge and Grass Sea are located in the same area. Grass Sea is a tall reed marsh, with the reeds turning green in June and July, making it the best time to visit. The Walking Marriage Bridge, a wooden bridge over 300 meters long, is a romantic spot for Mosuo couples. There are many snack and craft stalls on both sides of the bridge, and you can also enjoy horse riding along the lake. 4️⃣Sichuan Lovers' Beach One of the two Lovers' Beaches at Lugu Lake, this one is located in Sichuan. Remember, March and April are the off-season, while summer and winter vacations are the peak. 🏝 Beware of unlicensed taxi drivers There are no direct buses to Lugu Lake from Dali. The three of us chose to share a business car ride, costing 180 yuan per person. Upon reaching Lijiang, the original driver left us and arranged another car. Unfortunately, the new driver refused to take us to the hotel and cursed a lot, overcharging us by fifty yuan. This instantly tarnished our impression of Yunnan. Ladies! Take my advice, choose official travel channels. Take a bus from Lijiang, or fly directly from Kunming, although there aren't many flights, so it's advisable to book early. 🏝 Do not choose a rainy day to visit Lugu Lake The effect of a rainy day versus a sunny day is completely different, whether it's Erhai Lake or Lugu Lake! It's best for four friends to travel together, it's economical and you won't miss out on anything. 🏝 Accommodation Daluoshui is one of the earliest developed villages around Lugu Lake, with a strong commercial atmosphere and a higher cost-performance ratio for guesthouses, hostels, and bars. We chose the relatively quiet Nizhai Village, where stepping out the door puts you right at Lugu Lake, and the indoor facilities are surprisingly good! 🏝 Taking a pig trough boat: 150 yuan per person June, July, and August offer the best value for money, as you can see the water lilies in bloom. It's best to go early in the morning because they bloom early and wilt late. We rented a boat at six in the morning to see the sunrise and the morning mist. My friend captured the scene of seagulls soaring over the azure lake, with the morning light reflecting off the water, it was stunning. 🏝 About altitude sickness Lugu Lake covers an area of fifty square kilometers, with the deepest part reaching over a hundred meters and a visibility of twelve meters. The highest altitude is over three thousand meters. The Fuyun Homestay we stayed at even had an oxygen machine, but I didn't use it. My friend and I both took Gaoyuan An, a local Tibetan brand, and there's no need to take it in advance. Neither of us felt any discomfort, whether in the snow mountains or at Lugu Lake. Next year, for the Sichuan-Tibet Highway, we'll bring it along too.
