Anping Old Fort

I love the view here, a nice place to experience the history and have a walk.

Anping Castle is the oldest castle in Taiwan. It was originally built by the Dutch as "Gelanzhe City". Zheng successfully reclaimed Taiwan and changed its name to "Anping Town". The castle you see today is no longer what it was like in the past, but it is still worth a visit.

A seat in the ancient castle of Anping, Tainan, Taiwan, after hundreds of years of historical weather, tossed through generations, by the Dutch occupation, then by Zheng successfully recovered the castle, then by the Japanese occupation of the white tower, to this day, is the witness of Taiwan's history, but also a must-visit place to visit Tainan.

Public Transport: Take Tainan Railway to Tainan Station - transfer to Taiwan's 99-An platform river line (holiday driving) to Anping Gubao Station. Take Tainan Railway to Tainan Station - transfer to Tainan City Bus 2 to Anping Gubao (Anbei Road) Station.

The former Red-haired Dutch built a moat after arriving in Tainan, but was destroyed by the war and later rebuilt in the Japanese era to look like it is now

The center of the Dutch colonial rule in Taiwan is quite large. Zheng accepted this place after successfully entering Taiwan and changed its name to Anping. A must-see place for Taiwan history.
