Taiyuan Botanical Garden

This is Taiyuan's first ecological botanical garden! Nestled at the foot of the beautiful Mount Tai, there are three exhibition greenhouses like three pearls embedded by the scenic lake. They are: the Tropical Rainforest Pavilion, the Xerophytic Plant Pavilion, and the Rare Plants and Seasonal Flowers Pavilion. The largest is the tropical greenhouse with over 1,500 species of tropical plants, creating a typical tropical rainforest environment. The medium-sized one is the desert greenhouse, which, by recreating desert landscapes and planting xerophytic plants, allows people far from desert environments to experience exotic ambiences without leaving their homes. The smallest is the seasonal greenhouse, which will display corresponding plants and flowers in different seasons. Yellow Datura, there it is! The flowering period is in summer and autumn. The whole plant is poisonous, with the flowers and seeds being the most toxic.

I'm truly amazed! I didn't want to leave after taking photos inside! This is the Taiyuan Botanical Garden. There are three exhibition halls inside, one of which is under maintenance. So, this time I visited the Tropical Rainforest Pavilion and the Psammophyte Pavilion. For those who love plants, this place is truly a paradise. The tropical plants grow lushly, with various vines climbing in an orderly fashion. Each plant has a brief introduction, and I saw many large trees that I had only seen in books before. In one pavilion, you can experience the jungle environment where the foliage blocks out the sky, as well as the humid and warm tropical climate. This feeling is really wonderful. The Psammophyte Pavilion is also a favorite of mine, with two tall baobab trees inside! Other desert plants are also beautifully grown, and there's even a succulent plant wall. Whether for science education or photography, this place is an excellent environment. Because it was a sandy day in the northern spring when I visited, I didn't take many photos outside the pavilion. The famous internet-famous elevator lights up at six o'clock, but I didn't wait because the wind was too strong. I hope to come back when the weather is better. Those who like architecture and plants must check it out! 1. The internationally renowned Austrian DMAA Architecture + German Valentin City Planning and Landscape Design Firm designed it, it feels so futuristic! 2. The ticket price is 50, slightly expensive, with three exhibition halls: tropical rainforest, desert, and flowers. I love the tropical rainforest and desert. 3. It's about twenty to thirty yuan by taxi from the main urban area, just locate 'Taiyuan Botanical Garden'. 4. It opens at nine in the morning and closes at eight in the evening, with no entry after six o'clock, so be mindful of the time. 5. I recommend going around six o'clock to watch the sunset, and the lights will probably come on around seven-thirty. 6. After the lights are on, go take photos at the big elevator, it's stunningly beautiful, with the blue sky and twinkling scenery, a perfect match. 7. Route: Enter from the east gate and go straight to the reptile and botanical science museums, then you can visit the three spheres which are the tropical rainforest, desert plant museum, and flower pavilion. The tropical rainforest and desert plant museum are the most worth visiting, and they are the best for taking photos! The lush vines are densely packed, and the strange and exotic flowers that I can't name are blooming in clusters, the jungle that blocks out the sun is always humid and full of a fairy-like aura, with the sounds of insects and birds, ancient trees stretching out their bodies, it's very cool inside, with multiple air outlets blowing cool air, so it won't be hot even on high-temperature days... Near evening, you can play in the water by the lake in the garden, watch koi, mandarin ducks, swans, and wait for the lights to come on at 8 o'clock. The botanical garden is quite large, which is very suitable for walking, with a children's playground, swings...
