GGuest UserVery pleasant space, with beautiful panoramic views. Tranquil environment conducive to rest. Good food service and good breakfast.
Clean and comfortable rooms with large private terraces.
An experience to repeat!
JJulieA little out of the way. VERY steep climb to the hotel - taxi needed unless you are very fit. Fine walking down.
Hotel was spotless couldn't fault it at all.
Slight issue with tea & coffee in the room. Couldn't plug kettle in without it being on the floor - could maybe do with a small table near the plug??
Only 1 normal tea bag and 1 fruit t bag for 2 people staying. Had to ask for extra t bags, spoon and milk-wasn't supplied in the room.
Breakfast was good-not a massive choice but what was there was very high quality and was replenished regularly.
The hotel it self was affiliated with a restaurant in town which we went to twice-amazing food and service.
Staff were very helpful-great hotel would definetely recommend and stay again.
II.W.ChesterBeautiful elegant period accommodation with antique furniture, surrounded by well manicured garden.
We had fantastic views of the river and vineyards from the balcony ( room 6A) ,
The ”casa” is immaculately clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the spacious tiled bathroom with a walk-in shower was looking amazing.
The owner Manuel was incredibly helpful and welcoming. He gave us a lift to the train station early in the morning, because of the national strike disruption and also prepared pack breakfast for us.
A welcoming glass of port on our arrival also was a nice touch.
I would definitely recommend Casa de Sao Domingos to anyone.
GGuest UserBig hotel in great location. Staff very friendly and good selection for breakfast. Decent sized room with nice view of the river and park. We had dinner every night of our stay at the hotel restaurant as it was reasonably priced with a good choice.
GGuest UserIncredible service from start to finish, best we received on our trip (which is saying something). The room was pristine, had small gifts for my better half’s birthday and the food/wine were excellent. The honest bar was great and genuine interest in their wine was clear to see from everyone that we spoke to.
GGuest UserGreat little hotel with super service. Great snacks and a very good breakfast. The rooms are small yet very modern in this restored old house. The only negative is there’s no parking and you can’t get the car loaded/unloaded at the front of the hotel. Parking is on the street where it isn’t easy to find a spot
GGuest UserHotel with a very spacious and well-equipped room, including hairdryer and clothes.
A varied breakfast with quality products.
Excellent indoor pool; spa with sauna, Turkish bath and jacuzzi.
A pleasant outdoor space with many free parking facilities.
GGuest UserThe hotel is beautiful with the mix of old and new architecture. Plenty of FOC parking inside the fortress(hotel) and outside. Walking distance to the town and everything you want to see in Chaves. For EV cars, there is a chargeable charging station inside the hotel’s parking.
GGuest UserThe stay at Quinta do Silval was really enjoyable. The view from the pool is stunning and the room is comfortable and quiet.
Hosts are welcoming.
Warning!!! Check the road before coming because Google Maps isn’t accurate and drove us through some dirt roads.
