The hotel is conveniently located, with a variety of dining and entertainment options right downstairs, offering a one-stop solution for food, drinks, and fun, which saved us a lot of hassle during our trip. The hotel staff were attentive and thoughtful, with excellent service, making us feel very comfortable.
The room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel even thoughtfully prepared a small tent, a footstool, and children's toiletries for the little ones, showing great attention to detail. The room was cleaned spotlessly every day, and the minibar had a wide selection of snacks that were promptly refilled daily, always meeting the children's little needs.
During our stay, one day my child caught a cold and had to rest in the room. Ordering room service by scanning a QR code was incredibly convenient; the food was delivered quickly and tasted great, solving a big problem for us.
Buying breakfast vouchers for the hotel's buffet directly through Ctrip was also very convenient. There was a wide variety of dishes, and they tasted good, even saving us from needing lunch.
What the kids loved most was the hotel's play area: there's a fantastic Fun Park on the third floor, with discounted entry after 4 PM, where the children had an absolute blast. On the first floor, they could spend a long time playing with the soft gold bricks inside the vintage car, so happy they didn't want to leave.
Overall, during our stay, both the elderly and the children were quite satisfied with the service, hygiene, parent-child facilities, dining, and convenience of travel.
Booked this hotel for the George Lam and Sally Yeh concert in Macau. It's quiet and by the sea. There's no free shuttle, so you have to take a public bus to 'Cheoc Van Beach 1' station, then walk down a steep slope. I wouldn't recommend it if you have mobility issues. Walking up and down that big hill every time you go out can be quite tiring. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a balcony with a lovely sea view! The breakfast was also very satisfying! The front desk staff, both the ladies and gentlemen, were super nice and accommodating! Overall, great value for money! I'd come back again (just ignore the hill climbing 😂).
The check-in staff Amelia is excellent! We arrived at the hotel from HK at around 2pm, since the official check in time is after 3pm, so we were planning to leave our luggages in the hotel before going out for our late lunch. A male staff came and took our luggages while we were queuing up for check in. Then when it was our turn to check in, we asked Amelia if we could go to our hotel room earlier than 3pm, not only she said yes but also upgraded our room with a balcony! What a surprise! We LOVED this hotel because the moment we arrived the front door, we were greeted and welcomed by 2 staff. Not to mention the front desk is great, the room is new, clean, big and modern. The scent in the hallway is refreshing! I highly recommend my friends and family to stay over in this hotel. Oh they also left us a welcome note , so touching! I LOVE the bathroom, so elegant and modern! I mean the bed, the balcony, all the electronic devices are great.
The room is located on Coloane Island, which is a relatively quiet area. While the facilities are a bit dated, it still feels like a solid five-star hotel. The room is spacious and has a balcony, and the breakfast quality is excellent. The only downside was the incredibly long wait at check-in. They didn't seem to follow a first-come, first-served system. I waited in the lobby for two hours, and people who arrived after me were checked in directly. If I didn't actively go up and ask, they wouldn't arrange my check-in, citing that the room wasn't ready. The problem is, I can't keep checking with the front desk every few minutes to see if the room is clean. Perhaps in the future, they could process the check-in and issue the room key first, then guests can simply wait for the room to be cleaned, rather than having earlier arrivals get pushed to the back of the line for check-in.
The Galaxy is quite old now. The bathroom counter is too small, making it difficult to place items, and the room itself isn't very spacious. It's just average, not bad but not great either. I wouldn't stay in the rooms again. The pool is heated, and although the amusement park was closed, it's commendable that they still kept the heated pool open, unlike many hotels that just shut them down entirely. The service throughout the entire hotel was excellent, so even with the age, it still reflects a five-star standard. The housekeepers paid great attention to detail when tidying the room, arranging my belongings neatly, which left a deep impression – very few hotels do this. Plus, a front desk staff member escorted us all the way to our room, giving us various introductions. These details show the responsibility and professionalism of the Galaxy's management. Overall, it's a positive review. Special praise goes to the receptionist in the photo with the name tag; they were very diligent and hardworking.
Our stay at the JW Marriott Hotel Macau was truly exceptional. The grand, beautifully decorated lobby immediately sets a luxurious tone. Our room was spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully equipped with modern amenities such as international plug outlets and a large, elegant bathroom (with excellent water pressure and soothing bath salts). The bed linens and pillows were wonderfully soft and comfortable, and the view from our executive-floor room on the 28th floor was breathtaking — a full panorama of the Grand Resort Deck and its lively waterpark, which we thoroughly enjoyed with the kids. The hotel also has a fantastic kids’ room that our children absolutely loved, adding even more joy to our family stay. With direct access to The Promenade mall and its great range of restaurants, plus a wide and delicious breakfast selection, everything felt convenient and indulgent. Service was impeccable throughout, and special thanks go to Manuel, who kindly showed us around at check-in and arranged our transport upon departure. A truly memorable stay in every way.
It has been over 5 years not stay in this hotel. This time made me not much excited. Regards the room service, there are only 2 bottles of water provided and it's much behind others. the saunna room still keeps same and it's the only point I forcast. Unfortunately, there still no wet towel provided, no slipper provided, the good thing is not much people use the room. the view is nice and this is the selling point.
I might not stay again unless the room rate is attractively.
Banyan Tree was an absolute delight. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was exceptional. The room was spacious, immaculately clean, and beautifully decorated. The hotel's amenities, including the spa, exceeded my expectations. I can't recommend the Banyan Tree enough - it's the perfect choice for a relaxing and indulgent getaway.
