We arrived at the apartment quite late, around 1am, feeling exhausted. Unfortunately, we were greeted by a staff member with a rather rude attitude, which left us with a poor first impression.
The apartment is spacious and can comfortably accommodate five of us. However, it is visibly aged, with noticeable wear and tear in several areas. The sea view from the window is pleasant, although it is not a full 180-degree view as it is partially blocked by another tower. Cutlery was not provided in the unit and had to be requested from the front desk, which was a bit inconvenient.
Nevertheless, the service is generally good. A robot delivers meal orders directly to the unit, and parcels can also be received at the lobby, although guests need to collect them personally. On two occasions when I had to leave early and was unable to attend breakfast, I requested a takeaway option, and they kindly prepared boiled eggs and fruits, which was much appreciated.
The location is strategic and within walking distance to May Fourth Station, MIXC Mall, and May Fourth Square. Overall, it was a good stay despite a few shortcomings.

Jiaodong Airport is really far. My flight landed at 9:30 PM, and I didn't get to the hotel until 11:30 PM. When I arrived, I met Ariane (Ms. Wang). I had originally booked a small sea-view suite, but after discussing it, she upgraded me to a 270-degree sea-view room. It turned out to be a great decision; the view from the room was fantastic, and I could enjoy the ocean right from my bed. After checking in, I added Ms. Wang on WeChat. She was incredibly responsive for room cleaning and bringing requested items, which was very convenient.
The breakfast was good with a wide variety of dishes, but it was too crowded. The next day, I decisively opted for the Executive Lounge on the 30th floor. Although there were fewer options, the experience was much better, and the views were great too. The scent in the lobby was pleasant, but a bit too strong; I'd suggest making it a little lighter. I'll definitely choose the Hyatt Regency Qingdao again on my next visit.

Facilities: The hotel is quite new, which is great. It looks like there's even a cooking area and a mini-fridge inside.
Cleanliness: Very good, they even provided disposable towels and disposable corn fiber towels, which was a nice touch.
Environment: Excellent. The staff upgraded our room type from a partial sea view to a full sea view. It was indeed very good on the fifth floor, but since we were out early and back late, we didn't get to properly enjoy the sea or see the sunrise and sunset.
Service: Very good, the staff member was quite polite. However, I hope that for consecutive stays, they would automatically replenish water, toothpaste, and other daily necessities. On the first day, if we didn't ask, they wouldn't replenish them automatically.

I stumbled upon this hotel with a floor-to-ceiling sea-view window room online and immediately fell in love with it. So, I took advantage of the three-day Qingming Festival holiday to visit Weihai. I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, and the actual experience was fantastic!
From the hotel's **exterior**, it felt like an older four-star, but once I entered the lobby, the overall impression was very neat, clean, and bright. You could tell that the hotel put effort into maintaining its facilities. The staff were also very enthusiastic, even calling a day in advance to confirm my itinerary and preferences. The **service** was excellent.
Since I arrived quite late on the first night, after 10:00 PM in Weihai, I booked a **standard king room** for the first night. It offered a street view, not the sea. The room was quiet and very clean, perfect for a good night's rest.
On the second day, around 9:00 AM, we moved to the sea-view room I had been looking forward to. I booked the **Deluxe Sea View Terrace King Room**. The room was still very clean and quiet. The interior decoration was on par with a five-star hotel (though the walls were a bit patchy and could use a repaint). Upon entering, there was a bathtub, and then the super large floor-to-ceiling window and terrace came into view. In front of the window, there was a soft sofa, which was incredibly comfortable and relaxing for drinking tea or coffee – it just made me so happy. The view from the terrace was also stunning; the sea was very clear on sunny days. In the evening, you could watch the sunset from the room. What could be more romantic than that?
The **breakfast** restaurant was a sea-view restaurant with a huge floor-to-ceiling window. Outside, there was a trestle bridge, the sea, and seagulls – the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. The breakfast selection wasn't super extensive, but it covered most Chinese breakfast essentials, and the taste was good. For a four-star hotel, it was really impressive.
The **location** is in Huancui District, not far from attractions like Torch 8th Street. There are also many good restaurants nearby. Downstairs are Jinshatan Beach and the Jinhaiwan Trestle Bridge, where many seagulls hover.
The hotel has an elevator that goes directly to the beach, and guests are given an exclusive wristband. For families with children who want to play in the water during summer, it's very convenient – you can go straight back to your room via the elevator to wash up after playing.
Overall, the accommodation experience was excellent! Full marks, highly recommended!

Service: From the hotel staff to the restaurant waitresses, everyone was lovely and very enthusiastic.
Location: It's in a prime spot on Torch 8th Street, very convenient. You can directly access Torch 8th Street from the hotel's second and third floors by elevator, so no need to climb hills, and it's great for photos.
Room: We booked a sea-facing room, but trees were blocking the view, so we could barely see the ocean directly, which was a bit disappointing. You definitely need to stay on a higher floor here! And those rooms are even cheaper than ours!
Cleanliness: It was just before peak season, so it was getting a bit crowded, and the cleaning wasn't as thorough. There were wrappers from kids' snacks near the sofa and some unidentified hair on the bed.
If you like lively places, this is good, but if you prefer quiet, I'd suggest the Golden Sands area; it's less crowded and the hotels there are better. This place feels more like a guesthouse than a proper hotel.
Overall, the value for money isn't great, so I wouldn't highly recommend it.

The hotel is right next to the bus station and very close to the train station. There are supermarkets, restaurants, and fruit stores nearby, and it's also close to RT-Mart. Public transportation to all the attractions is very convenient. The hotel service is excellent; they are very responsive and promptly meet our needs. What's even more thoughtful is the extended check-out time, which saved us from having to wander around. Highly recommended!

The location is excellent, right above Binjiang Plaza. We stayed on the 62nd floor, and the view was absolutely stunning; we could even watch the sunrise from our room – it was truly beautiful. It's very convenient to get to Yantai Mountain, Chaoyang Street, and Hongkou Road, all within walking distance. Even though we were on the 62nd floor, the elevators are divided into high and low zones, making it very efficient. The only issue was parking; it cost 30 yuan per day, and since we stayed for four days, the parking fee was 120 yuan, which felt a bit high. The room was spacious, perfect for traveling with parents and children, especially with two bathrooms, which allowed for privacy – very convenient. We could also cook. All the in-room amenities were complimentary, and they provided over ten bottles of mineral water, plus half a pack of disposable bath towels, also free to use. We could contact them via WeChat if we needed anything, and they would prepare and deliver it promptly. The service was top-notch. Overall, it's definitely worth recommending.
A warm homestay, the stay experience is super good, I live in a sea view room, and the sea view is the first! Even if you don’t go out and sit by the window and watch the sea, it is a kind of enjoyment. The hotel also has an open-air observation deck. The best place to watch the fireworks show at night is the sea. It is very convenient to go downstairs for shopping and eating. The boss is also super enthusiastic. Provide us with super practical play guides, Longkou is very good, come back next time!

I originally came for a marathon, but I didn't expect the place I booked to be so good and suitable for leisure, and also very close to the running start point.
Service: Excellent. I've stayed in many places, but the owner here truly runs their own business with great dedication. I deeply appreciate the thoughtfulness in every word of their service. When I needed to prepare formula for my child, they even provided extra water, which we left in the room. Regardless of the cost, they certainly weren't stingy. Some hotels are so stingy they won't even do that, and people like us who dislike bothering others wouldn't even dare to ask.
Environment: Very good, very close to the beach. The only thing was that upstairs sounded like they were moving things around very noisily late at night. This isn't the owner's fault; it's a matter of guest etiquette.
Hygiene: Very clean. It would be even better if the cleaning cloths were sorted more meticulously.
Facilities: Very suitable. More than sufficient for daily travel accommodation.
Value for money is good. I will choose this place again if I come back.

The layout of the room is more comfortable, the decoration style is very like, the details are a bit poor
Facing Dongchang Lake, it is more pleasant to bask in the sun and watch the lake;
The sanitary conditions are good, the facilities are relatively complete, and the owner is also enthusiastic
Love the breakfast form.

GGuest UserTraveling with my child during the summer vacation, I chose to stay at the Westin Qingdao and was absolutely delighted! They even have a swimming pool, which was perfect for letting my child swim and unwind after a long day of playing. The location is superb, directly facing the Fushian Square seascape, making it incredibly convenient to get around. My child was very happy here! It's clean, hygienic, and the service is excellent! A special shout-out to Kimi from Guest Relations. She was incredibly thoughtful and attentive throughout our stay. Before we even arrived, she proactively contacted us to confirm our room preferences and quickly responded to all our requests. She was professional and efficient, and even kindly recommended local attractions and dining options. Her service was gentle and meticulous, making us feel right at home. Overall, our stay was perfect. The front desk also arranged our in-room dining super efficiently. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Qingdao!

FFrom a SingaporeanThe positive attitude and service performance of the staff ranging from front desk, concierge/security to breakfast restaurant and house keeping is excellent. The classic hotel personal service with a modern twist makes the stay a memorable experience. On my check-in, Ms Xiao Jiao and Ms Xiao Cong gave me and explained briefly the leaflet on the hotel’s suggested tourist attractions in Yantai. They also enthusiastically exchanged small RMB notes with me. They also gave me a piece of mooncake of my choice (and during my check-out too). The restaurant staff is attentive, replenishing food and drinks and attending to requests promptly. Due to my lack of command of Mandarin and accent, the chef cooked the wanton instead of the mackerel dumplings for me, he immediately served me the dumplings when he realised the miscommunication. The next morning, after serving me the mackerel dumplings, he, I think, recognised me, suggested I could add soup and condiments to the dumplings. I find their fleshly cooked dumplings are even better than the dumplings from the most famous dumplings restaurant in Yantai. The concierge staff on 2 days helped me book taxi using her phone app, paying in advance on my behalf as booking via internet cannot be settled in cash. The concierge/front desk lent me umbrella without question.
After a delayed and tiring flight, Mr Xiao Gao brought me to my room and explained the mechanics of the switches in the room. There was a hand-written welcome note from Ms Liu, with 2 cups of white fungus/goji drink beside it. The drink together with the note and fruits in the room, not only soothed my dry throat but also lifted the mood. House keeping provided fruits, white fungus/goji drink and dried chrysanthemum/rose flowers (to prepare for drinking) and 4 bottles (500 ml) of water daily, with up to 14 bottles at the lift lobby on my floor, and guests can also request house keeping for more bottles. On my check out day, during my breakfast, they left at the door handle, a bag of goodies, fruits and bottles of water and souvenirs (4 key chains with various types of sea shells), together with a hand-written farewell/bon voyage note from Ms Liu. Well done The Center Hotel staff, you are a pride to the hotel, the hospitality industry and Yantai!

GGuest UserThe Mandarin Hotel is located on Starlight Island in the West Coast New Area, surrounded by the sea and boasting stunning island scenery. As soon as you arrive, you can feel a sense of tranquility, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. The sea breeze creates a wonderful vacation vibe. However, there was an entertainment event on the island that day, so it was incredibly crowded.
Stepping into the hotel lobby, the elegant and grand design perfectly blends with marine elements. The glass dome and crystal chandeliers complement each other beautifully. What impressed me most was the self-playing piano in the lobby; its melodious tunes flowed under the dome, adding an artistic touch to the entire space and instantly washing away any travel fatigue.
My business twin room was spacious, clean, and tidy. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered breathtaking panoramic sea views. Drawing back the curtains in the morning, I was greeted by the magnificent sight of the sunrise over the ocean. The room was well-equipped, the bedding was comfortable, and every detail showcased quality.
The hotel's amenities are excellent. The complimentary indoor pool has clear, well-maintained water and is a good size. It's very well-regulated; you need a swimming cap to use it, and there's also a sauna and hot spring. The gym is fully equipped, and in addition to exercise machines, there's a table tennis room and an aerobics room. The hotel garden is charming, with European-style stone carvings adding a unique flair. Just outside, there's a seaside boardwalk, perfect for enjoying the sea breeze. Parking and EV charging were very convenient, and the staff provided attentive and thoughtful service, making my entire stay, from check-in to check-out, feel incredibly welcoming.

MMommy traveller**Location & Value**
Good location and size for the price point. The building is actually a residential condo with local residents, which gives it an authentic feel. Connected to the mall at level 6, so convenient access to dining and shopping. Corridors are very dark.
**Rooms & Comfort**
Rooms are true to photos. Beds are firm but surprisingly comfortable. Plenty of extra pillows and blankets provided. Fair warning though—this property is really more of a service apartment than a hotel, so manage expectations accordingly.
**Cleanliness Issues**
This is the main concern. Housekeeping mops the floor daily, but the water appears dirty and the floors end up grimier than before. If you're traveling with a child (as we were), you'll need to clean the floor yourself—and housekeeping will undo your work the next day. Frustrating cycle.
**Breakfast & Food**
Skip the hotel breakfast package—it's just delivery that you could order yourself. Better options are walking distance away. McDonald's is only 3 minutes on foot.
**Service**
Service is minimal to nonexistent. Asked about getting a local phone number for deliveries and the front desk was unwilling to help. Taobao/package deliveries get dumped in a communal basket with no sorting—you have to search through yourself.
**Condition & Maintenance**
Advertised as newly renovated in 2025, but visible wear and tear suggests low-quality renovation work. Concerns about long-term durability without proper maintenance.
**Summary**
Good for budget travelers who don't expect hotel amenities and don't mind doing some housekeeping yourself. The location and price are solid, but the cleanliness and service gaps are real issues.

GGuest UserTraveling with my child, I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Qingdao, which is conveniently located in the city center with easy access to the subway and shopping malls. The room was well-soundproofed and fully equipped. The staff was responsive, and the breakfast buffet offered a good mix of Chinese and Western options. The gym facilities were excellent, making for a very stress-free stay. A special shout-out to Danny from the hotel for his warm and attentive service! He was quick to respond to requests and was always kind and courteous. The hotel environment is comfortable, and the five-star service truly lives up to its reputation. NNanahualalaWe came to Qingdao with our kids and parents, and chose the Hyatt for its easy beach access, which was definitely a good decision. We weren't disappointed – the direct access to the beach was incredibly convenient, and the kids had a blast. A big thank you to Nancy (Gao Ying) at the front desk for upgrading us to a sea-view room; the scenery was absolutely stunning! The hotel service was also excellent. We'll definitely stay at the Hyatt again next time we're in Qingdao.
