Beach Hotels in Shandong, China

I stayed for two nights in a sea-view room and the view was absolutely stunning. It offered great value for money. You could open the window and see the blue sea and sandy beach right there, or just relax by the window and watch the sunset. The room was clean and tidy, well-equipped, and the bedding was comfortable. Plus, you could walk straight out to the beach from the hotel. In the evening, sitting by the sea and listening to music was incredibly relaxing. Highly recommend this place for anyone staying in Weihai.

First of all, I’d like to thank the incredibly friendly staff who managed to arrange an apartment room for us on the 34th floor with a breathtaking view of the East China Sea, even though we checked in at 1 am. There was also a fruit basket in our room upon arrival, which I’d like to highlight as a very positive touch, as it makes you feel valued as a guest. Overall, our stay at the Haiyi International was wonderful; the apartment was spotlessly clean, and the facilities were exactly as described. What’s more, the location is very central on the beach promenade, so we were able to enjoy the light show from our apartment every evening or take a mere 10-minute walk to the beach. For a family of three adults, this apartment is absolutely lovely, especially as it had two bathrooms as well as a fully equipped kitchen. The only thing I would suggest improving is that the bedroom number two are separated from the living room by glass walls, and as these aren’t fully soundproof, you can hear people in the living room from the second bedroom. Another area for improvement is that, although there are curtains for the glass wall between the living room and bedroom number 2, there is a glass section next to the door to the room that cannot be covered by the curtain, which means the room is flooded with light coming through from the living room. We also noticed during our stay that the hot water runs very slowly, unfortunately – though this is more down to the building itself. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Haiyi International and would book this hotel again for our next visit to Qingdao, thanks to the friendly staff, the excellent location and the facilities.

The location is excellent, with convenient transportation and easy access to dining, entertainment, and shopping. The hotel environment is elegant and quiet, and the rooms are clean and odor-free. Toiletries are well-stocked, and there's plenty of hot water. The staff are gentle and considerate, providing meticulous and attentive service. Overall, I had a very satisfying stay and highly recommend it!

Last year, I stayed in a sea-view room at this hotel with friends, and I came back this year and stayed here again. It's absolutely wonderful! The hotel's location is excellent, and the scenery right outside is stunning. The room is spacious, clean, and tidy, making for a very comfortable stay! The service is also very attentive! The service was very welcoming, and the room facilities were modern and well-equipped. The balcony had a table and chairs, perfect for watching the sunset and enjoying the sea breeze, which was really convenient. The ocean was right downstairs, and falling asleep to the sound of the waves was so peaceful. The front desk was also very efficient at resolving issues. The only slight drawback was the cleaning by the auntie, but that didn't detract from the overall positive experience. I had a really pleasant stay this time.

Here's my objective review of this stay. Pros: 1. Upon check-in, a staff member helped me with my luggage from the lobby. 2. My child lost a toy accessory in the room during our stay and we couldn't find it. When checking out, I asked the staff to look for it again when cleaning the room. In the afternoon, the hotel informed me that they had two teams search for it and finally found it. I'm very grateful, and they even helped arrange for it to be sent back to me with payment on delivery. 3. During one of the cleanings, they left two extra bottles of water and a note, indicating they noticed formula milk powder in the room and that more water might be needed for mixing it. 4. The male staff member in a black suit I met in the hallway and the female cleaner I met the next morning greeted me very politely. 5. During breakfast, a very tall manager and other service staff saw me with my young child and proactively offered to cook the noodles longer and even brought them to my table. When I mentioned that the yogurt was gone, they responded and refilled it very quickly. 6. The room has a great view, offering panoramic views of the beach and the pier. Cons: 1. There were no Little Prince children's amenities or daily yogurt, which I had read about in other reviews. 2. The non-smoking floor was a joke. There was always a smell of smoke in the hallway, and there was an ashtray full of cigarette butts on the windowsill in the hallway right in front of our room. After I moved it to the trash bin near the elevator, a few hours later, a plastic box full of cigarette butts had replaced it in the original spot. After I reported this to the hotel, their only response was that the guest across the hall was smoking in the corridor and they had aired it out, with no other action taken. 3. The provided baby bed rail couldn't be fixed securely and was ineffective. At our request and prompting, they brought ropes to tie it down (at the previous hotel we stayed at, the bed rail was already tied and secured before our arrival). 4. During the mid-stay cleaning, they didn't notice clothes dropped on the floor, and the duvet was just folded haphazardly. However, they did proactively drain the water from the bathtub. 5. The hotel room card could open a door leading to the beach, but we weren't informed about this. We only found out from a passerby.

This was my first stay at the hotel and overall, I was very satisfied. The lobby ambiance was grand and elegant, making me feel very comfortable. The front desk service was professional, and both check-in and check-out processes were smooth. The staff were warm and attentive. The room itself was clean, tidy, and spacious, providing a great way to unwind after a long journey. All in all, it was a pleasant stay, and I would definitely choose this place again if I have the opportunity.

Really Amway this treasure sea view homestay, completely exceeded expectations! Environment: Sitting on the first-line invincible sea view, you can immerse yourself in the sea without going out, watch the sunrise on the sea in the morning, enjoy the sunset on the sea in the evening, and the sea breeze is super healing in the evening. The sea view outside the window is a blockbuster, quiet and comfortable, away from the hustle and bustle of the city is too suitable for vacation relaxation. Hygienic: Clean people can rest assured! The whole house is cleaned very meticulously, the room is ventilated and dry, there is no damp smell, the bedding is fluffy and clean, the desktop, window sill, and the corners of the bathroom are clean, the utensils are clean and stain-free, and it is comfortable and safe to live. Service: The store is super gentle and reliable! Luggage helps to carry, and local niche punch points and food guides are also recommended for free. If you have any questions, you will be on call. The service is meticulous and will not be overly disturbed. The experience is full! The overall price is super high, the environment, health, service is all-round online

10/10 for this hotel. It’s a Chinese hotel so most of the guests are Chinese. Some of the staff can’t speak English, but they are very helpful. They used translator machine explaining things to us. As we arrived in the evening, there was no quiet and far-from-elevator room left. However, they helped to upgrade us to sea-view room close to the small elevator instead. It turned to be the best experience to see the sea view every morning, and it was still quiet as there are only a few rooms on this side. The toilet is Japanese bidet style that you can even adjust the water temp and turn on the light IN the toilet bowl! They gave us fruits when we checked in and a box of crackers when checkout (it was the best!). All towels were sanitized and packed separately, and were replaced everyday.It’s only 50m max to metro and bus stations. Also, only ~550m to the sea. I would definitely stay at this hotel again for my next Qingdao visit!

This hotel truly deepened my affection for Weihai. Although I opted for a more budget-friendly room without a sea view (on the 15th floor), the public observation deck offered an equally stunning vista. Watching the sunrise and sunset with the sea breeze blowing made my entire vacation feel so serene. The room was meticulously cleaned daily – fresh slippers, trash emptied, and general tidiness – these small details made me feel incredibly comfortable, like being well cared for by a friend. Just across the street is the beach; I enjoyed leisurely evening strolls along the shore, watching the gentle waves and kids building sandcastles. It was a heartwarming and healing experience. The hotel is also close to Torch Eight Street, making it easy to walk over and capture those vibrant, youthful scenes. What touched me most was the hotel's warm hospitality; the staff's smiling faces made this unfamiliar city feel so welcoming. I will definitely be back, both for this beautiful sea and for the homely comfort this place provided.
