GGuest UserWe got to the hotel at 4:00pm. No place to park so I went in to check in and find the valet. I asked the gentleman at the desk about valet and he said he had nothing to do with valet. They are busy and I need to wait out front. I said okay. I asked if he knew where the restaurant I booked was and at first not a clue and then he pulls out a list of restaurants and says it’s on the list. I ask where is it? His response it’s on the list. Okay. He obviously did not understand English so I thought I’ll ask the valet. I went to the valet and he told me we are not in the main building and he has no time to help us. He wasn’t sure if he could valet the car. I was confused and then he said leave the car and you can take your luggage to the building you are staying in. Well it ended up being about 5 blocks away on cobblestone sidewalks up hill. Okay so much for customer service. I realized they were not going to take care of us in any way. No customer service! I can’t believe I paid that much money and it was a room the size of a shoe box with no service.
GGuest UserEverything was great! ”Peaches” was our check in girl and she was so sweet and kind. Above and beyond welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable except the beds are a little bit firm. Staff were knowledgable with every question we asked throughout our stay. The walk to the beach is quicker then it takes the red light to change. On check out day we asked if it would be ok if we left the car in the parking lot and hang out at the pool for a few hours before heading home, and they were perfectly cool with that. the roof top pool is so nice with a bar and constant breeze. We reserve a ”Bay front” room, but we unexpectedly had a really nice view of the bay from our room. These are the reasons I've been coming back the Princess Bayside for years.
GGuest UserThis was a great location without being on the boardwalk, but close enough to everything. The staff was friendly, and the room was very nice and clean. Rooms have been renovated and new furniture and was very nice. The pool area needs a lot of updating. It’s faded, broken tiles on the pool, and they have a broken splash pad that has not worked for who knows how long. The free breakfast was adequate, however the area for guests to eat was very small and for some reason had an insane amount of flies all over which mad eating not great. Overall, I’d give this hotel a 6.5.
GGuest UserService was pretty good in the updated facilities. The check in lady was friendly and did her best to get me in my room as soon as possible. The room was upgraded, new flooring, furniture, and bathroom facilities. The floors were a little dusty. The floors are no longer carpeted, they have some type of laminate flooring. Maybe cleaning staff is not used to maintaining this type of flooring yet. the door to the room was off center. There were large gaps around the door which allowed lots of light from the hallway to penetrate the room when it is dark.
GGuest UserThe tiki bar is on point. The breakfast was good but ran out of stuff by 9:00 an was told you have to get here early because some people take 5/6 plates back to the room. I would 100% recommend bay side the sunset was worth all the money. Don’t try to check in early they will push you off till close till 3:00. Overall would stay again an would recommend
GGuest UserThe check-in was easy and the attendant was very pleasant. The room was clean, however the hallways, stairways and elevator appeared to not have been vacuumed for a few days. Being beachfront, having hallways and stairways that are carpeted, or the rooms for that matter, is not a good idea. Even though the room was clean, you could feel the dampness in the carpet. Not a pleasant feeling.
GGuest UserWe enjoyed our stay very much. The location was wonderful and the service was great. Everyone was helpful and nice. We didn't eat any food there, but I'm sure it is good. Thank you for a great stay. We will definitely include this on our list of places to stay in Ocean City, MD.
