I had a pleasant and comfortable stay at Raia Hotel Alor Setar. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with all the basic amenities provided. The bed was comfortable, and I had a good night’s rest after a long drive. The staff were friendly and efficient during check-in, and the overall environment felt safe and welcoming. The hotel’s location is also convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and food options. Overall, a good value stay and I wouldn’t mind returning in the future.
bilik luas, bersih dan kemas. (room type : newly renovated)
Resorti chalet style, tapi convenient sbb bole parking depan bilik terus.
Untuk bilik 10/10, utk resort overall 6/10.
swimming pool not so well maintained, water slide out of order.
kawasan resort besar tp macam under-utilized sbb tak byk facilities, dan nampak tak dijaga dengan begitu baik.
Close to Penang Airport with convenient transportation. The room was clean, the staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was excellent. I always stay at this hotel when I travel to Penang for business. The hotel environment is great, and I'll definitely stay here again next time.
I recently stayed at this hotel, and I was impressed by its strategic location, perfect for business trips. The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and modern amenities. The bathroom was a highlight, with a relaxing bathtub - a lovely touch!
The hotel's central location made it easy to get around Alor Setar, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, I'd highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in Alor Setar

We booked for the king deluxe room. There were no updates coming from the hotel but when i called to ask for a decoration for my room, only then i knew that the room i asked for was already full. However, out of courtesy, they gave us a free upgrade room. The aircond was broken upon arrival and we told the staff and they fixed it as soon as possible. Overall it was a good stay. I would definitely repeat regardless of the issues.

I had a very pleasant stay at Resort World Langkawi. The location is slightly away from the main tourist attractions, which makes it perfect for travellers who prefer a quieter and more relaxing environment.
The receptionists and housekeeping staff were very friendly and helpful, and they were always willing to answer any questions I had during my stay. Their hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable.
The hotel also provides free parking, which was very convenient since I had rented a car to explore the island. In terms of accessibility, the hotel is about 20 minutes from Langkawi International Airport and roughly a 10-minute drive to Pantai Cenang, making it easy to reach popular spots while still enjoying a peaceful stay.
One thing to note is that there is only a single mini mart within the hotel and the prices are a bit on the higher side. On my first morning, I ordered breakfast through Grab instead, which was still convenient since delivery services can reach the hotel easily.
The room floor had some visible stubborn stains and the hotel does not provide room slippers, so you may want to consider bringing your own if you prefer not to walk barefoot in the room.
Overall, it’s still a good option for travellers looking for a quiet and relaxing stay in Langkawi, especially if you plan to drive around the island.

The room allocated on the first night requires maintenance. We requested for a change the following morning and the staff were extremely attentive and offered us a better room. The general feel of the hotel is clean and peaceful. Customer service is second to none, and we would like to thank Mr Faiz and Ms Qamarina for their professional support and courtesy during our stay. We have no hesitation to recommend this hotel if guests are looking for a calm, peaceful, friendly and clean hotel in Langkawi.
Toilet (lobby level) was filthy. There was no air-conditioner at the lobby nor at Lengkuas restaurant, was informed it has been in that state for a while.
Breakfast was good, variety of local delights.
Outside eateries are plentiful and Tesco is just across the street. Location is convenient for food hunters and business travellers. View was superb from 14th floor.
My room was ok, but my colleague next door had to change her room at midnite due to water leakage and smelly carpet.
Overall, the hotel need an upkeep.

I brought my whole family to this hotel for a New Year's vacation. The public courtyard has plenty of space for activities, which was great. There are lots of outdoor seating areas and hammocks, and the hot and cold water dispenser was very convenient. The hotel staff were excellent, very patient and polite. The downsides were that there were many ants in the room, the triple room was dark and damp with poor ventilation, and the location is a bit out of the way.
The hotel is quite old and I’ve requested for King room but the receptionist said it was sold out and replaced with twin bedrooms.
Instead of upgrading, they offer a lower rank.
Good view of the hotel and good location surrounded by eateries and shopping mall.

GGuest UserThe rooms are located on a private, secluded island, just a ten-minute boat ride from Langkawi's Cenang Jetty. There's an hourly boat service for transfers, and a dedicated meeting point at Cenang Jetty, which is very thoughtful. We booked a king-sized bed and paid an extra 110 per day, including breakfast, for a child's additional bed. We explored the island on our own and noticed some abandoned facilities that looked like they used to be part of another hotel. Contrary to some reviews, the hotel didn't offer a daily 8:30 AM guided trek for guests; you either walk by yourself or hire a guide for 120 MYR. If you walk alone, you're warned about an 800 MYR rescue fee if anything goes wrong. The name 'Trip.com' (携程) sounds enticing, but honestly, Langkawi's ecosystem is generally very good; I think Trip.com's descriptions might be a bit exaggerated. We followed old signposts to Red Rock Beach, where there's a cave, saw many pitcher plants and hornbills, and even met a French couple heading back. We had to turn back quickly ourselves, worried about the rising tide, as it was getting late. This beach, unfortunately, was quite littered, and even the private island didn't seem well-maintained.
The hotel grounds are like a garden with many monkeys; apparently, you can feed them peanuts at specific times. Staff often chase them away. The hotel's coastline isn't very long, and the water is crystal clear in the morning. There are corals but hardly any fish, though we saw many sea cucumbers and hermit crabs. Food on the island is definitely pricier than in Langkawi and not particularly tasty, just passable. There's a convenience store on the jetty where we even had an instant pizza. Hiking on the island was quite interesting; it took us over two hours round trip.
AAbbygel1514I stayed at this hotel in Langkawi during my trip with my husband, and the place was truly stunning. From the moment we arrived, everything felt so peaceful and beautiful. I stayed there only for a night including with breakfast. The room was very nice, the bed was extremely comfortable, and I honestly regretted that we only stayed for one night. Waking up to such a breathtaking view was an experience on its own—the scenery around the hotel was absolutely amazing.
One of my favourite parts of the resort was the beautiful swimming pool located right in the middle. It added so much charm to the place and made the whole environment feel even more relaxing and luxurious. Sitting by the pool and taking in the surroundings felt like a dream. I would say this was my favourite stay on my whole vacation there.
That said, the journey to the resort was a bit challenging. The road leading up was quite confusing and honestly a little scary, as the resort is located at the top of a hill. Driving up from the bottom felt intense, and the pathway could definitely be improved. But once we reached the resort and stepped inside, it felt like entering heaven. The atmosphere, the view, and the comfort completely made up for the drive.
Despite the challenging road, the experience was totally worth it. I truly fell in love with the place, and next time I visit Langkawi, I’ll definitely make sure to stay there longer.
GGuest UserThis family-friendly hotel is absolutely fantastic! Paired with the beautiful Langkawi weather, it made for the best part of our trip. We stayed for two nights during the Chinese New Year holiday with my whole family, including seniors and kids, in a family suite which was a standalone wooden chalet. The hotel environment is excellent, nestled between mountains and water, and it's also right next to the SkyCab, so you could easily spend two days just exploring the area. We also booked an island hopping tour through the hotel, which was convenient, good value, and a great experience. We'll definitely come back next time we have a chance. A special mention to Sofie at the front desk – she was incredibly nice and gentle, providing an excellent check-in and check-out experience for guests. The hotel's Thai restaurant is great, followed by the Malaysian restaurant. We didn't go to the Chinese restaurant; I just glanced at the menu and decided against it. It felt like over 80% of the guests here were Caucasians, and the overall atmosphere, including at check-in and on the beach, was very peaceful.
GGuest UserThe resort was better than we anticipated, after reading some of the reviews. The location is excellent and the room a decent size. The breakfast was great and the restaurant served lovely food and drink at affordable prices. Don’t miss the happy hour to get tiger beer special!!
Cleanliness could be improved upon and the general upkeep needs some money putting in. The staff are helpful and willing but some could benefit from extra training to be more efficient and more pro-active ie, clearing tables and clearing empty glasses from beach . Reception were extremely helpful when a trip we had booked nearly turned into a disaster. They called the number in Singapore for us and helped to sort the issue.
Loved the nature around the place and the resort has such potential for great things. Some board games in the reading/ sitting area is a suggestion.
The check in/out is a bit weird and long so bear with.
GGuest UserThis hotel was our best stay in Langkawi, It gave us a little 'White Lotus' vibe. If you like lots of greenary, this hotel is for you. View is amazing. Food was good. Only the minus point was it is a little far away from the main center. sometimes difficult to get a cab after 8, if you want to go to Pantai Chenang. Airport and sky bridge was quite near and also some of the nice beaches of Langkawi. For food, there is an authentic Indian restaurant 'Delhi Darbar' at a walking distance. There is also a cafe nearby. I definetely recommend this place.
GGuest UserWe enjoyed our time here though some improvements could be made. The breakfast food area is too built up with people getting in each others way. There were only 2 coffee machines which weren't enough and we didn't enjoy the variety as much as other hotels. We found the fruit quite dry and the warm food not to our liking though that might just be personal preference. The food in the Thai restaurant was fantastic and would recommend eating there at least once. The pool area is lovely with fantastic views and a nice evening atmosphere. We didn't really use it during the day as there is nowhere near enough loungers for the size of the hotel. There is a shuttle service to the beach or you could walk it in around 4-5 minutes. Lovely beach with enough beach bean bags to go around but only about 6 parasols so not enough to go round. There's a beach shack which would have been nice if it was open more than just a couple hours in the afternoon. Other vendors not too far down the beach.
Hotel room was a nice and spacious. A/c a little noisy. Clean but not spotless. Bed was comfortable.
Staff were very welcoming and hosptable throughout.
Hotel is in a good location for restaurants and about 12 minutes walk to the main buy street. Enjoyed our stay and would consider staying there again.l
JJoanne w 10⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great stay for short getaway!
I stayed at Dash Hotel last weekend and really enjoyed my stay. The location is great, at the end of Pantai Tengah, just a short drive to Pantai Cenang and surrounded by plenty of eateries (including Orkid Ria!). The food at the hotel was good, and the breakfast with sparkling wine was a lovely touch. The view, especially during sunset was super beautiful. Perfect spot to relax and enjoy the beach vibe! 🌅🍾
GGuest UserOnline reviews mentioned that staying in Kuah Town would be quieter, but since it's surrounded by seafood restaurants and roads, there were still motorcycle noises around 11 PM or 12 AM. However, it didn't bother us late sleepers, and it quieted down even later. In comparison, Pantai Cenang, being by the sea, would be much quieter. The room felt like an older 4-star hotel. I stayed in a twin room the first night and a king room the second, and for 300, it was generally good value for money. There's an I-Bing bubble tea shop nearby with delicious taro milkshakes, and it's also very close to Wonderland. Parking is very convenient and free.
XxDanielNice hotel with real potential, but it feels neglected and needs maintenance.
The rooftop pool is pleasant with great views, though the big umbrella is very rusted and it closes at 7 pm, a bit too early.
The room was excellent: large, spacious and really beautiful.
Breakfast is a highlight, very good selection and the pancakes were outstanding.
Staff is hit or miss: some are friendly and helpful, others seem bored and uninterested.
The rooftop restaurant idea is nice, but service was poor. We waited a full hour for dinner while later arrivals got served first, very frustrating.
Overall: good bones, great room and breakfast, but inconsistent service and visible wear and tear hold it back. Could be excellent with some care.
GGuest UserGreat location near to Cenang Beach, shops and restaurants. Smooth check in. Staff very very pleasant. Breakfast right next door. Nice room with toiletries, kettle, tea/ coffee sachets replenished daily. Mosquito plug provided. Very small pool with few beds, but who needs it when there is a beach!
15 minutes transfer from airport.
Only 3 things to improve....no chairs on the very small balcony......The bathroom is a wet room with nothing to seperate the shower from the rest of the room, so the water splashes over the toilet......only 4 hangers between 2 people.
Overall a good place to stay in Cenang.
Tip- plenty of places selling trips on the strip, cheaper than on line. Mamgroves/ kilim and the island hopping were great. We enjoyed the sky cab/ walk. Taxis are quick and easy.
