Lovely hotel! very convenient and close to the city! we stayed in 2-bedroom connecting apartment for just 2 of us, so comfortable as it was spacious and the bathroom has a washing machine & dryer which works so well for our laundry!
Lovely kind staff & hotel manager to, allowing us to be able check in early at 11am due to our early flight landing! Of course after earlier notification so that the hotel can get the room ready! Thank you for the hospitality & will be back here for sure if i return visiting NZ again!
The location was excellent, just a ten-minute walk from Morry Creek. The only minor hiccup was that the motel's email had the wrong room number, so it took us a few minutes to find our room. Our suite was very spacious, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The room was well-equipped with an electric heater and electric blankets. We also tried New Zealand's 'national dish' – the chicken pie – at the convenience store just a minute's walk away. It was delicious! Definitely don't miss it, as you won't find a pie with such great value for money anywhere else on the South Island, haha.

Best place we’ve stayed in New Zealand!!! Very clean, nice view, amazing amenities and friendly host.
The best thing is they have a clean and good hot tub (nice view as well). We wake up with a super nice mountain view and the breakfast is amazing. The host is very nice and let us know about the activities we can do around Kaikoura!!
Everything is exactly like the description and images they post👍👍👍
The room was clean and tidy. The boss and the staff were very nice. We arrived in the morning and went to the hotel to store our luggage. We happened to meet the boss (who is Chinese). We, an old couple, did not speak well, so we asked for the boss's phone number and discussed: Can you help me call a taxi when I return to the hotel in the afternoon? The boss directly said: Call me when you need me, I will pick you up, which touched me very much. When I called, the boss was actually busy, and then he came to pick us up without saying a word, sent us back to the hotel and went out to do business. I apologized and wanted to pay for the fare, but the boss refused to accept it. Their staff is also very good. After checking in, she told us about some of the surrounding dining and entertainment. We also asked some questions. She helped us find out and told us the next morning. The most home-like place to live in New Zealand, warm and comfortable. Friends who go to Kaikoura will definitely recommend this hotel. It is very convenient to the town center, intercity bus station, whale watching, and the train station (the same place as whale watching). It can be reached in 5-10 minutes. Thank you!
I booked the hotel too late and there was no choice on the day. This was the only hotel I had. I was prepared for the worst. I saw the bad reviews and was worried, but I was actually very satisfied after I went there! The room can accommodate 10 people and has a bathroom. It was very nice, the view was great, and I saw a rainbow and a hedgehog.
I had a fantastic stay at Christchurch Tasman Holiday Park! The location is perfect — close enough to the city for convenience, yet peaceful and surrounded by beautiful nature. The grounds are well-maintained, clean, and spacious, making it ideal for families, couples, or solo travelers. The facilities are excellent, with modern amenities including clean bathrooms, well-equipped kitchens, and comfortable communal areas. The staff were friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. I especially appreciated the relaxed atmosphere and the variety of accommodation options available, from powered sites to cozy cabins. Highly recommend this holiday park for anyone visiting Christchurch
The room is very clean and tidy. The service is fast and enthusiastic. If you have any questions, the phone will be answered quickly. The problem is also handled in a timely manner. The kitchen can be used for cooking. There are pots, pans, and even a rice cooker. However, the seasonings are only salt and black pepper. If you need to cook, you need to go to the supermarket to buy oil and other seasonings. The room has air conditioning in the living room and heating in the bedroom. Overall, it is a very good experience. Recommended~

GGuest UserWe were delighted to visit the alpacas, even though we had missed the regular visiting hours. Hamina kindly met us early in the morning, giving us the opportunity to meet and feed these adorable animals.
The accommodation offered a cozy, homely feel with warm colors like yellow and orange. Equipped with kitchenette, dish washer, fridge and utensils. Our room faced the garden and alpaca farm, providing a pleasant and tranquil view.
We had a restful stay, which prepared us well for the next leg of our journey.
Thank you, Silverstream Alpaca Farm Stay, and a special thanks to Hamina (apologies if I’ve misspelled your name) for making our experience so memorable!
CCyndi on the RoadGreat location, right beside the lake.
We weren’t aware that toilet, shower and kitchen is all shared. Cabin is super tiny that is hard to do anything else inside. We didn’t sleep that well and it was not convenient that you have to go outside for toilets in the middle of night.
The campsite is nice, but with the amount of people and campvan, the utilities seem to be overloaded.
GGuest UserThe hotel was booked in advance, but something happened in the middle. The customer service was very nice and responsible, and it was properly resolved. I live relatively close to the lake. It's clean and sanitary. I can cook. Overall, I'm quite satisfied.
JJospwsParking beside the road. Self Checkin so need to arrange in advance to get the door access. The room a bit small but the facilities in room new. Checking out on the dot as it’s peak season.
GGuest UserThe location was good and the staff were very kind.
You can borrow pots and other cooking utensils by asking the staff. It was clean and nice.

이이솔빵The frying pan and pot were so old and dirty. They need to be replaced.
And the bathroom sink and kitchen drain don't drain well.
When I brush my teeth or wash my face, the water doesn't drain well and gets stuck.
I slept warmly because there was an electric blanket. When it was hot during the day, the air conditioner worked well. The staff were friendly. The proximity to Lake Tekapo, the supermarket, etc. was great. It was great to see the stars at night :-))
