Oblu Select Lobigili - Premium All-Inclusive with Free Transfers

We went for our honeymoon and it was the perfect honeymoon place. Everything from our water villa to drinks and food were awesome. We ate at the underwater restaurant next to coral reefs, we went scuba diving, snorkelling, sunset cruise. We wished for a never-ending holiday at this paradise island. Special thanks to our hostess Maryam for making our holiday extra enjoyable!

The trip was wonderful. We visited in June (rain season) for 5 days, with 2 days in the beach villa and 2 days in the water villa. There was rain during one midnight, not affecting any schedule. Sometimes, say several mornings, the ocean area at the water villas are not recommended for snorkeling (which is definitely what you want to do there). However, other beach areas would be open. We had a great time with our hostess, Rinki, who helped us out a lot throughout the entire journey on the island. Also the experience won't be that great without the assistance of the staffs, including Zara (the housekeeper), Marina, Teju (the restaurant servers); Sahaau (the snorkeling guide); Yami (the diving coach), and Mohammed (the watersports guide). I hope I got their names right!

It was our 2nd trip back to Maldives, and we chose OBLU Lobigili again. It was as we remembered when we last came in June 2023. The service crew has been impeccable in their service. The food in Ylang Ylang restaurant is top notch. Everybody is kist so attentive. The island is only for adults, so the atmosphere here is serene and peaceful. Highly recommend if you seek some quiet time. Special mention to our island hostess Rinki for always being extra attentive to our needs, and always checking in on us. Thanks also to Shruti who tidies our room everyday, allowing us to return to a clean and tidy room whenever we return back from our meals. Also we would like to thank all the waitresses in the restaurant. Every single one of them has been exceptional. I tried my best to take down all their names, and I may not have managed to get all their names. Thank you to all the waiting staff at Ylang Ylang restaurant: Merina, Saneem, Rachelle, Dechen,Sapna, Novita, Citra, Jenny, Haydie, Ivy, Nady, Nuhuzha, etc etc. I have only 1 feedback. My villa’s hot water broke down twice in my 5 nights stay. However, the engineers were quick to repair it immediately. So kudos to their quick action.

From the moment we arrived on the island we knew it was going to be a holiday of a lifetime, it was everything we expected and more. The staff at Lobigilli are fantastic, they really make the experience extra special. Particularly our incredible host, Mechelle who was always so helpful and kind. If we needed anything she was always happy to help & with the biggest smile. The food in Ylang Ylang is second to none with a wide range of options to cater for all. The restaurant staff were always so pleasant especially Alpi who went above and beyond for us on many occasions. Only blu underwater restaurant is definitely worth visiting, the food was outstanding and again service is what really made our experience one to remember. Oblu has a wide range of water sports available (some included on the lobi plan) All staff were really nice, particular shout out to Niiaf who was very pleasant & knowledgeable. The resort itself is beautiful and well maintained. The swing bar by the pool was very relaxing with live music each evening. Again, service here was second to none. Would highly recommend this magical resort, hospitality is the best we’ve had! Hope to return in the future

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Lobigili. We stayed 4 nights at both beach villa and water villa. Everyone is super friendly and hospitality. The amenities and activities are great, the restaurant Only Blu is definitely a must-go. We saw two different kind of sharks and so many fish even at dinner time. Food is great at the main restaurant as well. Asian dishes are not that authentic but the stake was really well cooked almost every meal. The villa was good, but not perfect. There was a storm during our stay, the water villa shake every time the thunder hit. And the room is a bit dark if we turn off the pink led light (it turn off along with a few lights). Have to say that we love the gym the most! It’s so equipped and has the best sunset view!

The staff at this hotel are truly fantastic and the senior management most definitely get their recruitment spot on. They were all happy to help and go out of their way at every single opportunity to make the guests stay even more perfect. A special mention to 2 of the staff that really stood out for me were of course our fantastic hostess, Patrice & secondly Maya in the swing bar - both an absolute credit to the hotel. What I like about the staff & hotel too is that there seems to be more staff than guests, so everybody stops for a chat, remembers your name and this makes everything so personable which makes you feel even more special. The hotel is very chilled which was great for me to just switch off the everyday life back at home. If you prefer it a little more lively, you can go over to the Ailafushi side of the hotel, but I feel once you have experienced Lobigili, you will see that there's no need to venture over there. The grounds are beautiful and extremely well maintained. The guys are constantly working throughout the day to make the hotel constantly look nice. Each room was very modern and slick, with rooms being cleaned every day too. The Aircon and big fan keep the rooms very cold which is amazing after being outside in the Maldivian humidity. Drinks and snacks restocked daily with wine, beer, soft drinks, water, chocolate and nuts - no need to ever ask. The snorkeling is great, a huge variety of sea life. If you are scared a little, just get yourself out of your comfort zone, it's truly worth it. Food is the best I've had at any hotel, plenty of variety each day & most definitely something for everyone. Going back to recruitment, the chefs here are absolute top notch so fair play to management again for bringing in the best of the best. After spending time at Lobigili, I can see why they have won numerous awards and accolades already and believe me, the way this hotel is run, there will be plenty more awards coming their way in the future. I do not know where to start with my review. Probably to say that it is simply paradise. From the moment you step foot on the island til the minute you leave the staff make it a truly memorable experience. Food was incredible always top notch and with lots of choice. The vibe is chilled and relaxed and so don’t expect to be dancing every night as this is not the place to be. Villas are just lush with lots of great amenities and little touches. We had an over water villa for the first half of our stay then moved to an over water villa with pool. Pools are not huge but beautiful for an early morning dip and watching the sunset. Like I say the staff are just amazing. Call you by your name and everyone acknowledges you and gives you there full attention. We had so many lovely people who looked after us but special thanks have to go to Patrice how was our Island Hostess and was such a sweetheart. Have us her full attention at all times and was always there to support and assist. Truly a beautiful person. Next was Maya who kept us updated with our favourite drinks and then gave us a little surprise departing gift which again was a special touch. And also Teju who was our hostess in Ylang Ylang. She was such a happy chatty soul who we always loved to chat to. Like I say there were many more but these ladies stood out. We would love to return and also have recommended this island to our friends and family. Honestly we are gutted to be back home. You will not be disappointed booking here trust me. Ignore the petty negative reviews from others. This is heaven on earth. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the Island of Love.

The island was amazing. The service, outstanding. Everyone was so friendly, especially Patrice. She cared for us in every little detail. I strongly recommend to go if you are looking forward to have some relaxing days. The island was very clean too.
