Pike's lodge was very cozy and just down the road from the airport. When we first entered our room, I noticed some tracks were left on the floor from the previous guests. The water pressure was good, and if you had room 502 then the room will never get below 76🥵 degrees. There are a lot of elderly guests that stay there and guessing they are always cold so they crank the heat up in all their rooms which in by proximity and thermodynamics will heat your room as well. Had the thermostats set to 65 but never went below 76 degrees.

I used it for one night.
The free shuttle from the airport came in about 5 minutes when I called from the airport.
I regret that my stay at the hotel was so short because I checked in late at night, and the next day I went sightseeing around the city and went to China Hot Springs in the evening.
If I was lucky, I could see the aurora from my room, so I woke up several times during the night to check the sky from the balcony, but unfortunately I couldn't see it.
Are there many other stuffed animals in the lobby and hallways? There are paintings, a small fitness room, and a sauna, so I would have liked to have stayed more.

No hotel in Alaska is going to be perfect. I do wish they would make some updates. Feels like a early/pre-2000 hotel.

Hotel was very clean, room was nice. Front desk was very nice when we checked in. Interaction with late night, early morning staff was strange, they were not friendly at all like the time we checked in, maybe because they were on the all night shift, not sure, no problem just thought they weren't as friendly. Bar staff in evening were excellent. Breakfast was simple but good and woman who was running it was very friendly.

Close to the airport. A nice lodge, with fireplaces on 2 floors. The steamroom and sauna being available 24/7 was great especially when its freezing cold outside. Beds were pretty comfortable. Offering to call your room if the Aurora Borealis comes out is wonderful.

This was an excellent place to stay during the winter and I think it would be fun during the summer also. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to help. I would highly recommend staying here.
