Torre Velha Al

The hotel was very cheap for a few days in april but it was perfect for the price. Staff is friendly and helpful. There is a pub/restaurant and they have a pool as well. Close to the beach but a bit far from the city centre but there is a car rental next to the hotel with great cheap prices so you can get a car and explore all the nice beaches and restaurants in algarve.

Great hotel, lovely place to stay. Friendly very welcoming staff and nothing was too much trouble. Good choice of food, which was delicious and a great bar with lots to choose from. Comfy rooms, great pool with plenty of sunbeds for number of guests. Would reccomend if looking for a reasonable priced place to stay.

Really loved this place,great people everything I needed,would have made a third visit this year but closing end of October medical reason prevented it,feel at home there,easy reach of Albufiera,beaches had some cracking days out Silves,boat trip,Seville etc live the place ,friendly guests

The room was very tiny,and dirty,pillows very small ,mattresses dont fit bed,balcony only big enough for 1 chair,bathroom and hallway smell ,pool nice but only 3 ft deep,bar very dark but cheap ,food ok,owner nice ,but place in middle of no where. No entertainment.

The hotel is in a great spot with a short walk to 2 lovely beaches, various restaurants and a shop which sells food, drink and essentials. The hotel food was really lovely and was very reasonably priced. We especially enjoyed the grilled piri piri chicken, pizza and pastas and ate there most lunch times. The rooms were very clean and we had a very spacious balcony with pool and sea view. Hot water was fine, linen was clean and changed every other day along with towels. There was a mini fridge & hair dryer. No tea making facilities, but this wasn't an issue for us as we kept water and juice in our fridge. Might be a different case in the double rooms. We had a twin room. The hotel is a little dated but we thought this was what gave the place its character and we found it to be a refreshing change from the clinical looking hotels/apartments that are everywhere these days. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The pool area was very clean and there were plenty of available beds. It rarely got busy during our stay. Only 1 negative is that there was no air conditioning. Hence the 4 stars. We stayed during a heat wave..it was over 30 degrees most days. Might not be as much of an issue in the cooler months, but this would have been helpful during our 5 night stay. Saying this, it didn't impact our time spent there and we slept very well with the ceiling fan, which i believe all rooms have. All in all, we had a great time and I would definitely return and recommend to anyone who is after a no frills, traditional venue set in a great location!

Very clean. Bed was firm but comfortable. Room was smaller than expected. Didn't realize there was no A/C but thankfully a fan and it cooled off at night. View from the balcony was beautiful! Pool closed at 7pm, which was unfortunate, but it was very clean. Bar is open late but limited with specialty drinks. Walking distance to a great little beach!

Basic rooms but clean and at these prices you can't expect luxury. Enjoyed our stay here. Uber cabs are good value to get to the old town and Marina. A couple of nice beaches just a few minutes walk away with beautiful cliff side walk with outstanding views. Would stay here again .

Lovely quiet little hotel with a really good selection of food. Hotel staff were really friendly and super helpful, would definitely go again. The *****, Old Town and Marina are all within a 10 minute Uber/Bolt journey, so it’s nice to spend the day in the busy touristy centre, then come back to a nice quiet area. The beach is also within a couple minutes walk from the hotel!!

Housed instead of a room in a cellar pretended studiooui, no window in the shade and in addition I am told to have been upgraded. an old microwave from the 70s, no pots, not a towel, a TV from the 80s, not a bowl just a cup recovered Dysnee land, as well as plastic cutlery recovered from a garbage dump, like the furniture apparently of this so-called hotel. The constant is that all rentals made in Portugal have one thing in common and that is greed. In truth Portugal and out of the peasantry and immediately in the 80s it lost all these values that were charity and humility, the world with money corrupted it too
