"Beautiful hotel which was spotless clean. As an all inclusive booking the only access to food post 6pm was evening meal and felt missing access to snacks in the evening. Very relaxed and laid back setting where nothing was a rush. Maybe some.music in and arou d the pool.area during the day and access to more evening entertainment with games or alternative to jusy the band that were playing would have been good. Overall a pleasant stay and loved the room size and walk in shower"

"This place has polarizing reviews.. After going there, I understand why. The facilities and services are good. You can use the swimming pool, washer and dryer (performance is poor), sauna and spa for free, and although the building structure is unique (1st and 8th floor reception, 2 elevator transfers, etc.), it's okay if you get used to it. We couldn't find the way by taxi, so we climbed the hill with our suitcases, but the reception on the first floor is near the spar mart. They were friendly, but the air conditioner was broken so I called twice and they didn't come so I just gave up. This place is in the middle of the old town, so I actually made a reservation based on the location, but it's literally in the middle of the club street, so even if you're inside the accommodation, you'll be staying at the concert hall all night long. There's no soundproofing, so you have to enjoy it together until 5 a.m. The noise is another level, as foreign reviews say. I’m traveling around the world, but this place is really ambiguous haha. The breakfast isn’t bad, but it’s just ambiguous… . Personally, I think it would be less noisy and better if it wasn't just in this alley because it's Albupay!!"

"I stayed here recently and honestly, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The hotel is old, outdated, and has zero charm. The rooms are small and while they’re somewhat clean, they’re crawling with bugs. Not exactly what you want when you’re trying to relax. The pool area is basically an extension of the restaurant, which explains why they’re so strict about outside food or drinks — but it’s still ridiculous. You’re not allowed to bring anything with you, not even a snack. They clearly just want to force you to buy their overpriced food and drinks, which aren’t worth it. Speaking of food: the breakfast was soggy and bland, and dinner on the first night was even worse. We didn’t bother going back after that. There is no atmosphere whatsoever. The hotel bar is the most depressing place I’ve ever been. The barman just stares at one of four TVs showing football. No music, no welcome, no vibe. We stayed for an hour just to play pool and it felt like a wake. The bed? Lumpy. The only thing that worked properly was the air conditioning — and that’s about the nicest thing I can say. For the money they charge, this place is a joke. Buggy, boring, and joyless. Avoid."

"Superb property, meticulously maintained. We stayed at the top floor 2 bedroom Residences, and it was fantastic: spacious, well appointed, overlooking the verdant golf course will a fully fitted kitchen and utility room and a large wrap around balcony. House keeping and turn down service was excellent. The restaurants were fabulous, the dinner buffet at O Grill with a seafood live station was well worth the effort. Yes they are on the expensive side, but you get the service and food and ambience that you pay for; alternatively, there are many slightly cheaper alternatives outside the property or in the nearby village of Olhos de Agua (5 min by car). Every staff member greeted us with a smile, and were immensely helpful whenever we need one. The property is large, so prepare to walk a lot, or call the hotel buggy or better, rent a car from the Europcar rental services conveniently situated with the resort and drive around. Dont forget to enjoy the glorious sunset at the Mirador champagne or gin bar with breathtaking views of the ruby-red cliffs dotted with pines overlooking the sea, a dramatic landscape where the property gets its moniker from. Will return soon."

"Excellent Location, Private Beach access, Delicious Buffet Dinner and Good buffet Breakfast is the Key Point. It's a massive aparthotel. Service was Okey, not much interaction. Thought, it will be quite due to off season but it was busy due to 3 large Football Club also came for the weekend. Our room was in A block. A bit walk from main reception and restaurant. We booked standard room, so was not expecting much anyway. Room was okey size. There was air-conditioning in the room but no heating. Tried 30 degree with that but room was not warm enough. Toilet was missing Hand wash, no soap, no slippers. Basically no toiletries as expected from 4 star hotel. Positive thing was main Restaurant Jacs. We booked half board. Breakfast was okey. But best part was dinner. Themed dinner every night. Good service and quick refill. Has Outdoor Pool and Sauna. Ocean Bar is good for Sunset view. The location was good. Beach is walking distance. Pub/Club/Supermarket/ restaurants are 5 to 10 min walking distance. So far so good. Would recommend."

"First, I want to say that as someone whose travel to many countries im leaving this review having experienced customer service but nothing like my self and partner experience in here. We had the privilege to meet the manager ( Renato Pires ) by accident who made us feel welcome from the very get go. He told us the history behind how MGM was fist stabished which my self and partner found super interesting. Not to mentioned the add on that he gave us to make our time way more pleasant, exciting and memorable. He then introduced us to Sheila the receptionist who once again made us feel welcome and seen. She made sure we were taking care of but more amazing was the fact that she paid attention to detail. It was my wife's birthday and without asking her nor expecting anything she left us a bottle of champagne in the room with a lovely message which made my wife smile from ear to ear. I can say that we are 100000% coming back based on our experience here I leave Portugal with a smile and a positive view of this country because of the wonderful customer service we received. "Fantastic find we stayed in room 505 great views beautiful clean hotel the pool area was beautiful too. I would come back again. So close to the beach and restaurants. The staff were really helpful. Everything was perfect. Great value for money it’s not a 5 star hotel so don’t expect all spa and evening entertainment but a perfect room."
