Hello everyone, we stayed at eco spring arbatax for 4 days, it was my worst experience, this place promises you on their site, mountains and wonders, almost tropical beaches, beautiful charming rooms, but that may have been before in the 60s when the resort was built, everything is now dilapidated, out of fashion, the sand of the so-called beach is nothing more than cat litter. A sort of fake cove completely reconstituted without any flavor, moreover we soaked our feet for 20 seconds in the water of the less ugly "beach" which was still awful to say the least. For my part, I have stayed in gigantic resorts for example in Punta Cana, Mauritius, but this one is just gigantic, around 40 hectares, it is similar to a prison, served by an almost disused bus every 30 minutes, yes. you have the misfortune that your room is located far from one of the 5 bus stops, I wish you good luck. As for the catering, we took the Half-board formula, which turns out to be nothing other than a scam, evening meal is worse than a city canteen, an incalculable number of servers for not much, pitiful food I can't describe to what extent we only had half a meal and rushed to our car to finish our meal in a village 20 minutes away (Santa Maria de Navarresse). Then the last 4 evening and day we spent outside, the hotel served as a dormitory for us, always with great difficulty of access, it takes 30 to 45 minutes to reach your room on average from the parking lot main. The only not too negative point are the animals everywhere such as horses, sheep, goats, and a few rabbits, otherwise I consider this establishment as a simple tourist trap prison. There are plenty of other negative topics that I could discuss, but I don't have the time or the desire to remember them, the only good moment of the stay was our departure. TO AVOID !!!

DON'T TRUST THE WEBSITE AND PICTURES ADDED TO. REALITY IS A BIT DIFFERENT. 1650 £ - 13 nights B&B PROS. 1. Because of Sardinia. 2. BARBARA and other staff, amazing, polite and kind people with a lot of patience, with the target to make you happy with everything. 3. Idea of the resort regarding localisation and solution of accommodation. 4. Lot of greenery and space for walk, close contact to the nature. 5. Swimming pools - a few to choice, accessible anytime but not all of them in the cheapest option than suite or village. CONS. TERRAIN - huge complex, where everywhere is far and the most terrible up or down steep and very steep hills, or steep stairs. Definitely not for the people with difficulties to walk, or spinal problems. BEDROOM  - is not a typical hotel, this is a group of the separately small houses, where the time of glory gone. Just refreshing by one coat of the paint is not enough, - AC - very noisy inside the bedroom, - no kettle and cups in the room, what should be as a standard, - beds and mattresses - average quality, - furniture - no bedsides, one timber chair (in the classic 2-bed room) - built in the wall wardrobe - smell a little bit damp, - small dresser - 4 draws and small fridge. BATHROOM - nice design, but finishing not too clever, especially regarding wet room. Using not grouted and filled travertine stone tiles (which is a extremely porous) as finish for the wall and floor in the wet area bringing a very good environment to grown up every known damp and high risk of tinea. Definitely shouldn't be found in that type of the accommodations. FOOD - fortunately we book just B&B, we expect on the breakfast to find local food, mixed with continental, but hospitality disapointed us completely. The worst came today, managing team to save the money (what is understable) squeeze the rest of the visitors to one dining room, where the service was completely not ready to accomodate this amount of the guest. Tables - not cleaned and prepared on time (we waited 20min for someone to clean the table, no one came, in that case the cutlers, table dress we took byself, there was no one who walk around with the cloth to clean the table between the guests), most of the dish cold (panchetta cold, fried mushrooms taken directly from the fridge, lack of scrambled eggs, lack of tomatos, sausage cold and very dry, queue for bakery), completely chaos, huge queue for coffee. BEACHES - unfortunately part of the beaches without directly access to the sea, very "clever" prepared pictures on the website. Few beaches about a not big area and narrow (in compare to other Sardinian beaches) access to the water. If you rent a car, it is easy to find a lot of bigger and beautiful beaches near the Arbatax Park Resort. SURROUNDINGS AREA TORTOLI - small city with a lot of shops including a few top brands, with lovely restaurants and coffe shops. Definitely worth to visit. Our opinion, after terrible beginning, (when Barbara save our holidays)

Very disappointing holiday to Hotel Dune in Sardinia - We paid for a sea view room but on arrival was given a room so far back and high up that you had to walk outside of the room to glimpse the sea. The room itself very uncomfortable with basic provisions - no hairdryer / tea & coffee facilities / iron & only 1 pillow each. Sheets were not cleaned during stay. It is a very hard walk up to the room but you take that because the view and position is stunning. The food from the buffet was very poor and inedible on 3 out of 7 nights leaving us to either eat pizza or find a way into the town. The fish and meat dry and often with film layers as it had been left for so long, vegetables over cooked, pasta under luke warm, only choice of cakes for dessert. Often implements were missing and no one was around to refill: spoons / glasses/ food that had run out etc. There is a very small outside gym with less equipment than in my local park which was upsetting and the spa although worthy of a trip sadly the massages were not good at all - we booked a Swedish massage and had a light-fingered type of massage. The cleaning around the site was not great either - In the toilets by Telis Restaurant where you have lunch, there were blood spots on the cubicle wall the entire stay of our holiday 7 nights no one had cleaned them off .. Be sure to lower expectations before you arrive!

All staff are very accommodating and friendly. Service from the manager at Dune hotel was excellent and she did everything possible to make our stay comfortable even down to saving our party a table at dinner without us asking - it’s little touches like that that made the stay hassle free. Accommodation and restaurant was very clean at Dune hotel. Could have had a little more selection at dinner. There was something to for all of us except the fussy eaters in our party! Although the resort is very hilly and you can’t park by your accommodation there is a resort bus that you can use and upon checkin and departure the resort will arrange special transport to and from your car/room with your luggage. The location is lovely if you are planning on staying in resort as there are plenty of pools/ beach areas to use. Beach areas have plenty if sun beds and all have shade which is good. Paddle boards and kayaks are all free of charge which is great. If you want to venture out of the resort you would need a car. There isn’t much locally you can walk to. We had a standard room at Dune which was very spacious and clean. Had maid service every day. Could have done with some tea and coffee facilities in the room as we were half board. Drinks at the bar are expensive we paid 42 Euros for 4 Alcoholic drinks and one coke! All in all lovely stay at Dune.

We had a lovely time at the Arbatax Park Resort! The food was really good and the personal always friendly and helpful! The beach was only a couple of meters from our room, with Cristal clear water and the beach bar serves the best cocktails 😉

Beautiful property with unique beaches set within a Boulder and tropical landscape, our room was an independent structure which was peaceful and quiet, room was spotless, Veronica and Barbara were great! Only room for improvement would be to put in the website how the check in process and getting through the gate works.

My main critisism i that it is NOT an hotel. It's a holiday village. The area is divided into 4-5 areas with different services at different levels/prices. We booked what we thought was a 4-star Hotel Dune and paid extra for seaview accomodation. The check-in system (valid for all categories) was chaotic even if it was low season and the staff didn't seem to know what they were doing. Perhaps they were new. We were finally issued our specific coloured wristband (hic!) and accompanied to our 'room' - a beautiful individual chalet type building hidden in a tropical garden. Certainly no complaints there! We were very disappointed however with the restaurant service. Our room category was assigned to the restaurant 'Le Palme' which was just a crowded self service family restaurant with bare tables and paper place mats. Water and wine by the glass (self service). Luckily the food was great with no restrictions. My compliments to the Chefs. The waiters/waitresses were only interested in collecting your plate as soon as you put down your knife and fork. This could be seen as positive but they were a bit too quick on the mark. We mentioned the 'complaints' to the manageress (BArbara) and she kindly allowed us to go to the higher quality restaurant the following evening. It was still a buffet meal, but the a**osphere was more relaxed (it was practically empty!) . The tables had table cloths and wine was served to you. The food was just as good as 'ours' but the attention to the customer way superior. THIS is what we would have expected from a 4.star hotel. The resort was in a fabulous tropical surrounding, kept clean and tidy with a bus service which took you to the various areas (Pools, car park, children's area, spa etc) No complaints there either but I wonder what the place is like in high season...
