We enjoyed a really good stay at the Old Library and enjoyed a superbly cooked meal. Good hospitality and service throughout. The room was quite small but satisfactory with a beautiful outlook to the inner Hebridean islands. Great choices of local produce in the restaurant. Only improvement - turn the music down a wee bit.

We had a wonderful stay here in what is essentially a restaurant with rooms right in the heart of the village. Rooms were great - clean, comfortable, beautifully furnished and well equipped. I was lucky to have amazing views from mine out to Rum and Eigg. The lovely hosts were really welcoming and the food was superb. We had a 3 course evening meal all cooked to order which included scallops, lamb and venison. The breakfast was generous and high quality. We should have stayed longer but will be back!

Lovely place to stay excellent food great staff warm welcome . Excellent food beautiful area peace and tranquility beautiful Scotland . The restraint was clean warm and inviting not pretentious. The staff were very welcoming and the food was excellent 👍

Great place to stay in the Highlands. David and Penny looked after us wonderfully. I stayed with my two sons and we had a lovely time. The food is out of this world, the best I have eaten for a long time!

Thank you for a lovely meal. The staff was very helpful in making sure that I know if there was gluten within the meals as I’m coeliac. Our food was so nice and enjoyed the experience with a good view. Would definitely recommend, nicest meal I’ve had in a while.

Lovely hotel Food is delicious, particularly the fish dishes…… Have the scrambled eggs and salmon for breakfast. Delicious!! Penny and David are very attentive and kind hosts. We were visiting to attend our Son’s wedding so extra special Would highly recommend.

We were here for one night, coming form the ferry in mallaig. we had 2 rooms with our childrens. The rooms were in a small buiding on teh back of the restaurant, surroudned by vegetation . They were really quiet. I had the kippers for breakfast. Altought i^m not used to them in the morning, they were deliciuous. We had also dinner in the restaurant. The dishes were refined and the staff was really kind. We especially appreciated that they sent us rapidly per post the books we had forgotten in the hotel room.

We went for lunch without having don’t any research and it was truly delightful, the warmth of the welcome, the location and of course the food .A truly Highland menu with wonderful seafood, lamb and venison.We could not recommend it highly enough, the best meal we have had on our highland trip

The restaurant dinner was the best quality and value for money we have eaten in the Highlands so far. Not cheap but delicious, absolutely fresh and perfectly cooked. Our choice; the Isle of Skye rack of lamb, roast venison haunch and scallops. The service was professional, polite, friendly and attentive, the home made bread very tasty and the wine a sensible price.
