The establishment features friendly, helpful staff and a prime beachfront location with great sunset views and access to local attractions. However, guests find the food and drink prices overpriced without corresponding quality.

We took the Sekar Jaya Fast Boat from Kasumba to Jungut Batu beach. Indiana Kenagan Boutique Hotel is located in central Jungut Batu right on the beach. You will need transport from the ferry taxi (mini trucks are used) which will cost IDR100,000. The hotel reception is about 50m down a narrow path way and then onto the villas. This means no road noise from motor bikes.  The Spa area has a larger pool and then another 70m to the second pool, restaurant and beach.  The villas are air conditioned with high thatched roof and very tastefully done. Super king sized beds, a little firm for me, but still comfortable. Super sized bathroom and shower. We stayed 5 nights but only got hot water on the first day. Not a problem when in the tropics ☺️ We got a trundle bed in the room for our adult sized 12 year old.  It is a laid back atmosphere and music whilst relaxing by the pool or beach.  We arranged to go on a snorkeling tour through the reception. We had a private boat 'Safari' which left from the beach directly out the front of the hotel. IDR800,000 for 3-4 people. Our boat captain was Wayan who was lovely.  It only took about 15 minutes to get out to Mangrove Point. From the moment we jumped in to the crystal clear waters we were in a spectacular wonderland of colourful corals and abundant fish life. It had a current so we could drift along without effort. Then the tide changed and we could drift along in the other direction. We live in Cairns and snorkel on the Great Barrier Reef and have been doing some incredible diving here in Amed, Tulamben, Manta Point and Crystal Bay and were very impressed by this snorkelling experience.  We took a taxi over to Mushroom Bay where we stayed last July cost IDR150,000 each way. You can snorkel straight off the beach, but unfortunately the visibility was not good and there were cold currents so we didn't stay in the water for long. The staff at Indiana Kenanga are very sweet and accommodating.  There are lots of restaurants and warungs around the hotel, but be sure to grab a drink in a beanbag or bed on the beach at sunset. We loved our stay at this property and would definitely recommend it.

This is an honest review of this place,Indiana resort was highly recommended by Google reviews. Let me explain in points form: 1- The hotel is very out dated 2- The AC in the room doesn't work 3-The plumbing needs attention, shower and toilet flush weren’t working so imagine you can't have a good shower in hot weather condition 4-The swimming pool needs a good scrub no one swims in it and you can't swim in it cause it built under the bridge right near the restaurant 5- The menu is so limited i couldn't have my coffee as there was no milk other than full cream 6- Had booked hotel for 8 nights and left on third day 7-Feel sympathetic towards the staff of the hotel and their conditions as the owner/managers don't appear to appreciate them and their work

It is very nice located , beautiful restaurant and the food honestly was amazing . We had breakfast, lunch and dinner here and weren’t disappointed at all. We loved the food. Great location too. The rooms ,unfortunately was not good. Too old and worn out.need a completely refreshing,we had villa with the pool, didn’t even go once in the pool. Not very clean. But we had a great stay anyway because of the location and the good food.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff are friendly but the restaurant is a let down. We have been going to Nusa for 10 years and Indiana was out fave restaurant on the island back when it was managed by the french chef Clement. Now the food is very average, so much so, we actually ate mostly at Ohanas a few steps down from the hotel. At Indiana our beer was warm & they offered ice?! The accomodation was very nice though.

It is very well located , not far from the port that the boat dropped us , on the beach , beautiful set up and decoration . Very friendly, Fanny the manger is always there , available and very friendly . Rooms are comfortable, most of them are recently renovated . The food is very good and you have the best sunset view.

We had to move pretty much straight away. We got there and upon first impression, the location is great and the design is nice. The food in the restaurant was nice the first night too. When we got back to our room after dinner and settled in we found mould behind the cushions, extreme lime scale on all the fixtures in both bathrooms, floor felt dirty, under the beds was filthy, kitchen was rusty, one of the cupboards had what looked to be termites from the holes in the wood, paint was peeling, floorboards on the patio had splinters coming up. I’m sure this place was exceptional when it was first built but is now in a state of disrepair. The beds were also hard and uncomfortable. I asked for an extra set of sheets to make up a spare bed so I didn’t have to share with my sister and was told they have no spares too, which I thought was quite unprofessional. We are not particularly unreasonable but for the price we paid we expect a clean room at minimum, and I can still happpily stay at a place with one or two little things, but when a place is mouldy and clearly unfit for humans to stay then we felt the only other option was to find a different place to stay. Thankfully the hotel did the right thing and fully refunded us, and said they’re going to make repairs, but for now I think other people should be aware

A great hotel directly on the beachfront. Our room was large, had a private courtyard and super air con. The beach restaurant served delicious food all day and the staff were really helpful with any questions or queries that we had. For our snorkelling trip (which was excellent) the hotel served breakfast to us early and then we were picked up from the beach outside. A lovely hotel, great location, very helpful staff.

We have just finished four nights at Indiana Kenanga and it has been absolute paradise! We had the two bedroom Villa which had a huge living area, with a definite “wow factor”, and the most heavenly pool and garden. I had read a negative review about the hot water but it was repaired and worked perfectly in my kids bathroom and OK in ours (just medium/ hot instead of piping hot which was fine by us). The staff were lovely and the location with direct beach access is pretty special because you can wander out and take a swim, plus you’re spoiled for choice with restaurants either on the beach or the Main Street in the other direction. The ***** of beach it is in is one of the most popular parts of the island. They keep the common areas lovely and clean, the staff are super friendly and breakfast is lovely (coffee just average). You feel like you’re in another world staying here. It’s beautiful. The reason for 4 stars and not 5. It’s very rustic here at Nusa Lembongan. Build quality and maintenance just isn’t what it is in other parts of the world, and this place is no exception. There were a few cracks in the walls and power points falling out. Considering what we paid I was a little surprised, but that’s what you come here for…. to truly get away and live a bit rustic. I just wished they had mosquito nets because there was a one inch gap around some edges of the sliding door and I found myself plugging the gap with towels and worrying about bugs. There’s also an ornate wood carving over our bedroom doors which has a bunch of holes. I’m sure someone else wouldn’t be bothered by this but I found it a bit hard to sleep because I was worried about bugs/ mosquitos. We also found the aircon a bit old and wished the common pool was a bit bigger. Also wished that there was a gym. Little things really, in the big scheme. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

We had 2 bedroom villa. We had no hot water in our bathrooms in the villa. After advising reception 3 times and they kept trying to tell us it was fixed when it clearly wasn't. We then had to ask for the manager, (Fanny)who offered us 30% discount. This is a very expensive resort compared to other resorts on the island but we wanted something special, how disappointed we were. They had no alternative accommodation for us. They offered us to use the day spa shower but then proceeded to tell us the showers in the spa had no hot water but we could have a bath. We said 30% was insufficient and finally agreed on 50%. They moved us into another 2 bedroom villa after they had a last minute cancellation, we held out hopes for enjoying our last 2 nights but unfortunately this villa also had issues. We had to defrost the freezers in both villas as you couldn't even get your hand inside. We had to empty the pool skimmer basket on both pools. Wanted to love this place, the location is great, staff lovely and day spa nice but I would have to say AVOID!!!! Looking back at other reviews there was a problem with the hot water in the 2 bedroom villa back in June so they should never have let us stay.
