AAnonymous UserFirst impression of the lobby is grand yet intimate. They escort you to a table and bring a welcome drink while checking you in. The rooms are large with a wonderful view. The rooms look just like the photos. Breakfasts are great, they make Eggs Benedict every morning. One day there was mango juice. Green smoothie every day. You can also get soba noodles cooked. You can even exchange breakfast for lunch at the hotel next door, and use their larger pools there. The room description mentioned a sea view, but on the third floor, a triangular roof slightly obstructs it, though the view is still incredible.

The service is flawlessâattentive, warm, and genuinely thoughtful without ever feeling intrusive. The rooms are extremely comfortable, beautifully designed, and perfectly suited for a slow, restorative stay. The surrounding nature is stunning, and the resort feels well integrated into its landscape, which adds a lot to the overall experience.
We stayed in December, and despite it being winter, the atmosphere was still incredibly pleasant and charming. The main pool does not operate in winter, but honestly, it doesnât feel like a drawback at allâthere is so much more to the property than the pool.
Breakfast deserves a special mention: it is excellent, with high-quality ingredients and great variety. I highly recommend trying breakfast in different restaurants during your stay, as each offers a slightly different experience.
Overall, Halekulani Okinawa is a refined, serene, and beautifully executed resort. A perfect choice for those who value comfort, service, and atmosphere over loud entertainmentâeven in the winter season.

YYan ReevesWe had spent 4 nights at the hotel during the Golden Week which might have influenced the perception of service, but not dramatically.
Among the advantages of the hotel are: nice spacious rooms (ours had a stunning sea view); generally good location with beautiful nature and access to the beaches where you could actually swim (not a given on the island) - at least until the tide goes too low; reasonably good food across the restaurants with rather friendly prices; stylish bar with quality drinks.
Among the disadvantages are: very non-Japanese service (generally not very helpful, with low penetration of English among the staff) and lack of attention to detail that could make the resort actually very nice - again, not very typical case for Japan.
A few pieces of advice to the management:
1. Bring the option of in-room breakfast. If a guest is sick and canât go down, itâs impossible to order in-room breakfast on the day, while rooms service opens at 11:30. Same frustration goes to the coffee stall downstairs that doesnât serve coffee during earlier breakfast hours
2. Consider equipping rooms with coffee machines and contemporary electronics - low costs to take, yet massive disadvantage for the 5* status for not having them
3. Pay more attention to room service: we spent 48h without shampoo and shower gel. Our glasses were washed occasionally. New bottles of drinking water arrived only once.
4. Fix the beach! The amenities there look like a poor community beach area, especially those shameful umbrellas. You have reasonable amenities at the pool - why not spreading them to the beach areas to make them feel more like a resort rather than public beaches that no one gave any care?
5. Gym and SPA amenities could use a bit of refreshment. I wonât mention SPA service itself which might be a result of poor luck with the specific technician
6. Empty mini bar equals lost revenue. You could easily cover the modifications above through adding more options for people to enjoy drinks at their balconies.
What makes staying in Japan truly special - genuine care and attention to every detail - was completely missing over our stay at this Hyatt. In fact, we consistently had that feeling âthis could actually be really niceâ and then something would go terribly wrong with the awkward service. The hotel that looks like 5* on pictures leaves a 3* aftertaste at max. I am only writing this because I felt it didnât have to - those are easy aspects to fix.

GGuest UserNice and spacious room. Ocean view with huge balcony. Comfortable bed and clean room. Service staff are not well versed in English but super patient and friendly. Room cleaning is by knocking of door and would not know when they come. But you can tell them to come back later if needed

AAnonymous UserWonderful hosts.I stayed in the attached two-story townhouse. Upstairs was a roomy bedroom with 3 big-sized single beds. Downstairs had a new bathtub/shower combo in the bathroom. and roomy kitchen had all modern amenities and served as the family room. Great outdoor space for a BBQ or just to relax with some snacks and drinks. Best part was my dog could enjoy being inside and outside with no restrictions. Just be considerate with your pet. (pay pet fee upon check-in „1,100) Breakfast was delicious.

The room was clean, comfortable, and very quiet, which made the stay especially relaxing. The location was also very convenient, close to restaurants, shops, and public transportation. I truly appreciated the excellent service and attention to detail throughout my stay. I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area and would be happy to stay here again in the future.

All the staff at your hotel are exceptionally friendly and eager to assist. Whether at the front desk, restaurant, or cleaning team, every colleague is impeccably polite. Even though our Japanese is nonexistent, the staff patiently communicated with us in English, which truly touched our hearts.
This time, I successfully proposed to my girlfriend right here at your hotelâsincere thanks to your hotel for creating such unforgettable and beautiful memories for us. Additionally, we absolutely loved playing with the parrot in the hotelâs basement; itâs so adorable and fun! We hope to see it again next time and have more joyful playtime with it.
We look forward to the opportunity to return in the future and share more warm moments together.

MMrChanSheraton Okinawa Sunmarina Resort is one of the best hotel and experience I had. The location is great which easy access to both north and south part of the island. Facilities are the best, especially the water activities. We tried almost all marine activities and all are great. Staff are wonderful and really helpful. They helped me from the day I book the hotel, marine activities arrangements, room service, and front desk. We definitely will come back to meet the great staff and hotel.

Mmimi chongThe exterior of the hotel is a bit old, but the interior is relatively new and renovated. The room is large, with a terrace, and the toilet is also very spacious. There is a bathtub (made of bricks), which is comfortable for bathing. Breakfast is available individually for about 60 Hong Kong dollars. It is a traditional Japanese meal. (Personally, I think itâs very salty). Itâs a bar at night and has a bit of an atmosphere. There are several diving shops about 200 meters away from the hotel. It is very convenient to go snorkeling or deep diving in the Blue Cave. As for restaurants, there are more choices about 400 meters away. The hotel owner is very friendly and even called a taxi for us.
