My wife and I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a much-needed staycation at the Swiss-Belinn Hotel, and I’m thrilled to share just how phenomenal our experience was. A great stay is made by three things: comfort, food, and service, and the Swiss-Belinn knocked all three out of the park. This is a relatively new and luxurious hotel in Nairobi. Security is very strict, with security personnel questioning guests at the entrance, dogs checking for explosives, and even armed security personnel checking bags in the lobby. However, there's no need to worry about security; it's purely a government requirement. The staff at the hotel are very nice, from the front desk to the concierge and the restaurant. Everyone is friendly and willing to help with any questions. The hotel has comprehensive facilities, including table tennis, darts, a gym, and an outdoor swimming pool. The restaurant offers a rich breakfast and excellent coffee. The hotel's location isn't very central, so there are no restaurants nearby. You can either dine at the hotel or take an Uber to the nearby village market, which offers both food and shopping. It's very convenient.

I booked a 2-night stay over Saturday and Sunday while waiting for my 1am flight on Monday. I had just returned from a safari and was extremely tired, hoping to get some rest. Unfortunately, starting around 4am on Sunday, there was a lot of noise coming from the room directly in front of mine. It appeared to be a group occupying multiple rooms, shouting and moving between them. I called the lobby twice, and while the receptionist was kind and responsive in contacting the group, the noise continued, and I eventually gave up on trying to sleep. Later that afternoon, the tap and shower in my room stopped working. I had to call again to have it fixed, and even after it was restored, there was no hot water. I had a VERY cold shower. That said, I genuinely appreciated the food and the aesthetic of the property—the African artifacts in the hallways and the soaring ceilings made the place feel very special. It’s the kind of atmosphere I’d love to return to. However, because of the disruptions and inconvenience I experienced, I don’t think I’ll be coming back unless necessary.

What an amazing experience! Me and my wife have luckily travelled to many countries and stayed in a range of hotels and this was one of the most comfortable and welcome experiences. Our first time in Nairobi so we didn’t know too much about where to stay until we spoke to some people. They mentioned the area to be safe and also recommended this hotel as a great way to be comfortable in Nairobi. You have security in entrance and exit and they were super nice. All the staff in the hotel were accommodating and showed us around and had us alll the info we needed. We got breakfast included and stayed for 3 nights. The breakfast was exactly what we needed. You have a range of foods to choose from and I’m sure you’ll find something you like! The food at the hotel is halal which is great for us too. Our room was cleaned and refilled every day and they were respectful and details in their service. We also used the gym which was super great. Enough for you to get a good workout in too. The location is next to Sarit Centre, perfect to access the Masai Market (on specific days) and also shops of all kinds. Big thank you to the team and everyone involved! Will definitely choose this hotel if I’m ever in Nairobi and also one I’d recommend to friends and family.

Check in process was smooth and fast. Hotel and restaurant staff are very friendly, kind and flexible. The location is convenient- very close to the airport and city centre. Food is brilliant - we booked half-board and enjoyed both the breakfast and dinner, with variety of food on offer. Some areas of improvement: We asked for a baby cot but what was provided was an old dirty wooden bed with adult linen/ bedding - not appealing at all and lacked that babyish touch - not given some clear thought. It appears as though the hotel isn't ready for families with babies/infants! The management should seriously think of giving facilities an uplift to ensure clients have a peaceful and memorable experience. For example the rubber lining on the refrigerator in our room (we hooked an Executive room! ) was so dirty. The landline phones are old fashioned and some not functional. Also it took too long for the phones to be answered, while in some cases never answered at all, and worse still no follow up call back. There was also this disturbing intermittent noise (sounded like a machine) around the 11th floor that disrupted our sleep at night. These issues and lack of details do not match the star rating of this hotel. A great hotel, but one whose facilities have been neglected! We may come back, just for the friendliness of the staff and the delicious food!

Pros: Not far from the highway exit, breakfast has a good variety, and it's safe to run outside in the morning with fresh air. Cons: The lunch buffet is expensive with limited options, and the gym was closed.

It was my first time to stay EKA. I arrived 8 hours before check-in time, having made a booking for one night. Unfortunately, my connection flight was on the same day, meaning that I wasn't spending a night in the Hotel. So grateful to have been allowed early check-in at no additional cost. A plus on flexibility of hotel management. Staff were generally warm, professional and willing to help. I will certainly be back!

Everything was good. We spent there one night, the staff was friendly and helpful and they even gave me a complimentary birthday cake and a song in the morning - this was very unexpected and very sweet!

I had a wonderful stay at Novotel Nairobi, specifically in Room 308, and everything was absolutely perfect. The room was spotless, well-designed, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day. The bed was good, the amenities were thoughtfully provided, and the overall ambiance was welcoming. I felt like a million dollars staying in this amazing room. The service was good from start to finish— good security, staff were professional, friendly, and always ready to help. Housekeeping did a great job, and the attention to detail really stood out. Overall, my experience exceeded expectations. I would happily stay here again near Westgate shopping centre. Highly recommend.

The environment is very good, if only some wild animals are raised. Breakfast is good, set breakfast and dinner, barbecue for one night to watch the show, European dinner for one night. Both are pretty good. At noon, it will be resolved next to the shopping mall. Not too many guests, suitable for vacation.
