Hefeng Jingli Hotel (Houhai Gongwangfu Store)

I brought my kids to Beijing and spent a long time online choosing this hotel. It's within walking distance to Houhai, Prince Gong's Mansion, and several other attractions. There are also many options for subway access and dining nearby. The hotel rooms are well-equipped, and it's worth mentioning that the hotel's courtyard is a fantastic spot for photos. On the day we left, the hotel even treated us to afternoon tea, which was a lovely gesture!

The lady at the front desk was very helpful and patient. The quadrangle courtyard is also very unique, and the hotel's location is excellent, surrounded by Beijing snacks. The room was clean and even had a projector.

The room amenities were excellent, but the courtyard view was truly the most beautiful. Stepping out, you're right in a charming little courtyard, complete with Hanfu available for great photos. The front desk lady was also very warm and considerate. It's conveniently located just a street away from Huguosi Hutong, making it easy to try local snacks. They even gave us a souvenir after check-out.

The hotel is very close to Huguosi Snack Street, but the street itself isn't really worth visiting. 1. It was freezing cold. The underfloor heating in the room was practically non-existent, so we had to use the air conditioning for warmth, which made the room extremely dry. 2. The room type I booked was incredibly narrow. I had to turn sideways just to squeeze past the bed to get to the bathroom. 3. The room's window faced a corridor, and across the corridor was a wall. As a result, there was no natural light in the room; it was very dark. 4. The travel photography service didn't include makeup, and the afternoon tea was quite mediocre, with unpleasant desserts. Just for reference. In short, I wouldn't recommend it unless you're particularly keen on experiencing a siheyuan (quadrangle courtyard). Also, winter isn't the best time to experience a siheyuan; the courtyard was genuinely too cold.

I brought my elderly parents to Beijing, and this was our first time staying in a Siheyuan. We chose this place and it was a wonderful experience! The front desk staff were incredibly helpful and responsive to all our requests. The courtyard was lovely and peaceful, perfect for a relaxed stay. My parents couldn't stop taking pictures! 😊 The room facilities were complete and of good quality, and everything was clean. Of course, given its location at the heart of the imperial city, the room size is a bit compact, but it didn't affect our stay at all. The transportation is convenient, with Line 4 very close by, and the nearby Huguosi Snack Street satisfied our basic tourist snack cravings. It's definitely worth coming back again!

The environment is comfortable! I slept really well. It's a pretty big Siheyuan (courtyard house)! Even though it's winter, it was very warm! Had a great stay! The facilities within the Siheyuan are truly excellent.
