Port Vista Oro

When reviewing this hotel I have to remind myself that I am used to 4 star hotel and above. It was also very reasonable.It was only £50 for the night including dinner and breakfast. 1. Pleasant hotel. Basic but nicely decorated. 2. The staff are polite especially the receptionist. 3. Very clean Smelt clean and I was very impressed when I had to move the bedside table that there was no dust behind it. 4. Very comfy mattress. 5. It has a fridge in the room. 6. WiFi worked. TV only had one British channel. BBC news. 7. The bathroom had been partially updated. There was plenty of hot water and good pressure. 8. The food was ok. Not much choice but I was able to get a full English breakfast. 9.The one thing that let the bathroom down is that the shower pole and curtain crashed down on my head when I pulled it. 10. This is my only real complaint. I asked for a room overlooking the pool and I got a blank wall( see photo)It must have been the worst view in the hotel. To be fair, the hotel was full and I didn't know I could specifically book a pool view and I was only there one night to see The 3 Kings parade which is brilliant.

Do not go to this hotel if you want a decent holiday. We went Nov 2023 and the hotel was obviously almost fully booked by Spanish OAP’s on their free annual holidays, paid for by their Government. They have to be the rudest, most ignorant people ever- but this hotel was geared up ONLY for these guests. English people are barely acknowledged- in our 7 days there, we didn’t have any nice interaction from the staff at all, either waiting staff or on reception-the food and entertainment is aimed at Spanish OAP’s. I don’t have a problem with Spanish people & when I lived in Spain, for several years, I had no problem living alongside them. The website gives a fake impression of this hotel-why not post true pictures? viewed from the hotel out towards the road- you might then change your mind about going there, as the hotel looks onto an extremely busy road- with constant heavy traffic- so if you try to sunbathe, in the 3 hours of sun that reaches 1 line of sun loungers, due to the huge buildings next door- you’ll find yourself lying next to a queue for the bus & breathing in awful diesel fumes. The rooms are old and dated, awful dark furniture, bobbly blankets as bedding, and the bathroom was tiny -had a shower over bath, meaning you had to be careful not to slip whilst climbing in to the bath, and shower curtain stuck to you- the whole lot needs ripping out & a walk in shower to be installed. Fridge in room which didn’t work. Balcony furniture was dreadful aluminium 2 chairs & table- we could hear every word our neighbours said & smell their cigarette smoke. This was our worst holiday experience-ever! It was my choice to go to Benidorm for a special birthday, but my time there was totally ruined by this hotel & its’ staff

We had a lovely stay at the Port vista Oro. For a 3 star hotel it is really good. The staff were extremely friendly, especially Monica (thanks for helping me with my Spanish vocabulary). The position of the hotel is amazing, right between both beaches of Levante and Poniente in the Old Town. The beds were comfortable and the hotel is really clean and rooms are cleaned well each day. The food was actually really good . The only criticism I have is that the food was sometimes cold, especially at breakfast. Thank you for a lovely time y hasta luego

an ideally located hotel that is not far to walk to either of Benidorms magnificent beaches , all the more interesting because of the many "bargain" and food shops that you pass on the way to the beach. there is a swimming pool at the front with plenty of loungers . the hotel is spotlessly clean all the way through and the staff are most helpful. our room was comfortable , with tv [some uk programmes],fridge and air-con. the food was always plentiful and most enjoyable. we look forward to our next visit.

Small clean hotel ideally centrally placed, easy stroll through shops bars and restaurants to the beach, close to the archaeological castle remains. Exceptionally efficient and friendly staff. Good variety of food, well cooked. We would stay again.

I liked the hotel. It was very clean,great mattress,nice bathroom. Food was ok. My one complaint is that I asked for a pool view. I understand that the hotel was full and it wasn't possible. However I was given the room with what must have been the worst view in the hotel..a blank with virtually no sky showing.

Great hotel , Javi, Amin ,Paco, Ivan ,John all so friendly they can't do enough to ensure you have a fab time. In fact all staff are so friendly. Brilliant New Year's Eve ,Jason excellent at bringing Spanish and British people together . Shout out to Isabella for such a fabulous welcome once again we have been coming to this hotel for 14 years and hope to come back for many more .

Great hotel in the old town, very accessible to this area. Food was excellent, real effort made on Chris**as Day meal. very friendly on reception and restaurant staff. Rooms dated as previous reviews but the rooms and hotel was spotless. Would definitely recommend for a break away especially at Chris**as. Don’t consider using the pool though in winter in the shade all day. Go for a paddle on the beach !

Perfectly acceptable little hotel on the edge of the old town, 2 mins walk to all the bars, restaurants and the beach. Rooms are grand with aircon and a fridge, plenty of room. Staff were friendly and helpful. There’s a taxi rank more or less outside and a free carpark about 1km, though it’s a pleasant walk with plenty of places to stop en route. Breakfast selection was good, minor complaint was that the coffee & juices were unpalatable. Happily stay here again.
