Summer Garden Suites Beach Hotel

Generally, you get what you pay for, however The Summer Garden is value for money. Not a big venue, with no live entertainment, although only a few minutes walk to main ***** with loads of bars and restaurant's; prices for drink can be expensive now so check these before deciding. Staff are friendly and helpful, and a special mention to Restaurant Captain RIDVAN. He was very friendly, helpful and assisted us in getting a better room with a view. We met so many people who choose to return to this hotel, so it does hold a special place for those people that are suited to this size of venue, and not looking for a 5 star hotel at 5 star prices. You can be in Gumbet in 15 minutes, and Bodrum in 20 on local bus for peanuts. Go check it out.

I paid £950 for 12 days for myself and my wife,the food was okay not much selection and not much variation but after visiting lots of these 3 star hotels in Turkey we new what to expect. If like some of the others in the hotel I'd booked with TUI and paid £800 each I wouldn't be as neatly as happy. This is not an all inclusive resort type hotel it's more like a b&b that does all inclusive. There's absolutely no entertainment on a night and when we were there in May non during the day either. Don't bring children there's nothing for them to do,Small pool. When this gets full during summer it's going to be crowded. We're over 60s and we make our own entertainment or we go out, but it's going to be expensive if you go out all the time The rooms are cleaned every day, nice sized balcony and literally a 5 min walk to the beach. Ps Salih who does the hammam(Turkish bath)is great and worth a go).

Had a wonderful stay at Summer Garden Suites & Beach Hotel in May 2024. All of the staff are really lovely - all of them work so hard, always smiling and willing to go the extra mile. Special mention to Yazer, Capt, and the team at the Turkish Bath. If you can, go and have a Turkish Bath at the hotel - it is really good fun, and as good as any I have had in other Turkish Resorts. The hotel is a little dated, but the rooms were very clean and comfortable. We were provided with fresh towels every day. The gardens are so pretty, lots of gorgeous plants and they are very well maintained. The Bar is open from 11.00am - 11.00pm every day, and between 7.00 - 8.00pm there is a range of cocktails to choose from. Music is played between 11.00 - 11.00pm, and outside of those times, the hotel is nice and quiet. The Pool Area is well kept, comfy beds with mattresses and plenty of them. We didn't struggle to get beds at all. The Umbrellas are also plentiful, but they don't tend to give a lot of shade so be aware of that. The food was gorgeous. It is mainly Turkish, but incredibly tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed every meal. The Pide are so good, as are the salads. You won't get a Full English for breakfast - so if that's what you want, you might be disappointed. Bitez is a lovely resort - lots of bars and restaurants along the beach, so it's definitely worth a visit during the evening. We had a fantastic time, and I wouldn't hesitate to go back to Bitez and to Summer Garden - it is a great value for money hotel.

So cons, the hotel is very dated in the bed rooms and a bit shabby which was surprising for the start of the season. Our bedroom was small and not very nice to be honest but we had asked for a quiet room so we had no view and ground floor ,but was cleaned daily and the beds were okay.Lots of cats so if you leave your towels out overnight prepare to find them sat on. It is very reasonably priced so allowances were made , 2/3 star at best . Big positive point was the friendliest of staff who really tried hard , the food was very good but definitely mostly Turkish which we loved but obviously some don’t. Fresh salads every day and reasonable choice. The beach is narrow and shingle/sand but the sea was lovely and there was a walk way over the rocks which was a bonus. Bitez was a nice resort with a good selection of shops and restaurants ,with the bus stopping outside the hotel for a trip into Bodrum. We did have a really nice trip and I would probably return if I just wanted a cheap get away with good weather.

For an affordable holiday to an incredible part of the world, this hotel has provided a lovely experience and opportunity to enjoy some well deserved time off from work. Summer Garden is exceptionally clean, friendly and warm. The rooms aren’t state of the art, but they’re so clean and honestly comfortable. Every room has a balcony and there are trees and flowers surrounding each area. Beautiful fruit trees with apples and limes to see also. Gorgeous! The all inclusive option is the best way to go, there’s a cocktail hour with different cocktail options each evening, the food is pretty good, yes it can become repetitive as in any all inclusive, but just down the beach are numerous fantastic places to eat and experience different local cuisine. The local beach is less than 1 minute walk away, is absolutely gorgeous and full of options of where to sit if you want to go away from the section allocated to the hotel. The staff are friendly, helpful and exceptionally hard working, ensuring the public areas are always clean and well managed. The pool is lovely with a little area for children with a working water slide, small, but perfect for smaller children! All I can say is don’t judge a book by its cover (or in this case it’s affordability). Highly recommend

One of the best holidays we have ever been on. On arrival in the early hours a large bottle of water and sandwiches awaited us. Shown to a very large suite type accommodation. Staff were super attentive and very friendly. Food ( mostly Turkish) was incredible!! Changed with great variety daily. Rooms were cleaned regularly with new towels etc every 2 days. All the staff were so pleasant and very helpful with information. Cocktails provided every day....very funny as they didn't really know how to make them but this made it quite fun! Quite an adventure ordering alcohol due to language barrier, but always very plentiful servings of whatever you got! Again great fun!! Nothing was too much trouble. We both absolutely loved this place and we are seasoned travellers!! Recommend it 100%!

We had a lovely week at Summer Garden, but I think there is information people need to know before they book. The all inclusive drinks are not as all inclusive as any other place I have ever stayed at. They only serve soft drinks, wine, vodka and gin between 11-11. You can only have cocktails or whisky/brandy between 7-8pm daily. This meant that the bar was busy during this time and for the first couple of days we were there we only managed to get one drink in the hour! But in the middle of week a new bar manager came in called Yazar and he really was excellent! He is a real asset. Please expect to get what you pay for, this not a 5 star luxury hotel, but it is clean, we actually had a cleaner in every day who left clean towels even though we weren’t expecting it. The food is good although a little limited, but we always found something to eat. The staff are lovely and all very friendly. I’ve seen some other reviews which personally I think are a bit unfair. We would definitely go back.

The resort is extremely nice with very nice staff - particularly Yazar and Ridvan who were extremely hospitable and very friendly and operated the bar and restaurant perfectly! The food was very fresh and the drinks were abundant! I would not hesitate to recommend!

Chef Yazar was an incredible member of staff and great behind the bar and throughout the resort. He was extremely helpful with anything we needed and any recommendations, he and Ridvan were amazing throughout our trip and the food and drinks were perfect! Yazar and Ridvan were always happy and smiling. We would highly recommend this place!!!
