Lvxingzhongde⭐The room, facilities, and views were absolutely perfect. For a luxury hotel, I usually look forward to the service the most, but this time I was a bit disappointed.
I was contacted by phone the afternoon before, but after failing to connect on WeChat, there was no follow-up regarding booking any hotel activities. Upon arrival, after calling to ask about parking, the butler helped arrange a welcome ceremony, which was very local and unique, and offered me some 'bingfen' (a local dessert) to try.
Check-in was handled in a separate area. The front desk lady wasn't very chatty, didn't smile much, and after confirming my reservation, didn't provide any information about the hotel. Perhaps she assumed the butler would cover that.
There was a brief introduction to the room, but no explanation of the Wi-Fi or mini-bar usage. All of this was later conveyed through standardized messages via the butler's corporate WeChat.
My suitcase had two wheels damaged from rough handling. I asked the bellhop if the engineering department could temporarily glue them, but he simply said it wasn't possible.
The Eggs Benedict at breakfast weren't very good; I'd suggest the restaurant management taste them themselves. I also asked for a celery mixed juice, and two different staff members immediately said they didn't have it. Eventually, a lady in a blue uniform said it could be made, but there would be an extra charge.
Since I was only staying one night, I wanted to have some clothes ironed, but it turned out they needed to be sent to a laundry facility in Nanning, which was quite unexpected.
I tried the rope-making activity, but the instructor didn't seem to fully understand it herself. I had booked it hoping to bring home something handmade, but it ended up being an awkward experience.
The hotel actually has quite a few activities, but I suggest they take them more seriously, especially given the price point. I came into this trip with high expectations, but these experiences were a bit unacceptable.

Extremely satisfied with this guesthouse! I initially chose this location because the electric scooter parking at Yu Lin Ba (Fish Scale Dam) costs money, so I figured I'd stay here, see the dam, and then rent a scooter. That turned out to be a great decision – the location is incredibly advantageous, and currently, this guesthouse offers the best value and is the prettiest in the area.
The hotel rooms come with washing machines, there's a 'Sky Mirror' on the rooftop, and a kids' pool downstairs. What really stands out is how attentive they are to every detail. Every corner is spotless. When I went to the Sky Mirror at noon, an auntie even specially cleaned the glass. The swimming rings by the pool were all nice and new, not tattered at all. The room also had a Tmall Genie, and the cleaning was impeccable. I arrived early, and they opened one room for me, and I practically watched them prepare the adjacent one. When we checked in, the staff immediately took photos of our license plate to link it to the parking system. The service was incredibly thoughtful, and we even received brown sugar as a parting gift when we checked out. A truly delightful stay!

The room was new and clean, and the owners were very welcoming. The hotel is one of the few in Shuolong Town with an elevator, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offer a view of Vietnam; you can see the scenery across the river just by sitting by the window. Also, the hotel's private kitchen dishes were excellent. The food was delicious, with Vietnamese flavors, and we rated it a 7 out of 10 for the best meal of our trip. We will definitely stay here again next time we have the chance.

1. Amazing hospitality.
The hotel owner, Shaowei was there to help us in every possible way. She brought us to see the panoramic view of Mingshi Tianyuan with her own expenses. She also took us to another place to watch native people’s dance, sing and bonfire after dinner. She also helped me to catch a local bus to another town. Her kindness was simply beyond my expectations. If I come back to Mingshi, the reason will be not the town itself, but Shaowei.
2. Flawless cleanness
Everything looked to be built just now. Clean, comfortable and tidy. No smell of cigarette or whatsoever.
3. Decent breakfast
Breakfast is simple but the taste is good. You can enjoy rice noodle, rice porridge and fruits with good tea and soy milk.
4. Great location
The hotel is located close to the bus station and you can get on any local bus passing by easily. Good restaurants are everywhere nearby as well.
Thank you so much for all the help and care. I really wish to meet you again.

Guest UserThe Mingshi Garden Scenic Area is quite large, but the navigation was accurate, so we found it easily. This guesthouse is a converted local villager's house, and there's parking available right at the entrance. However, driving into the village was a bit messy due to ongoing construction at other guesthouses nearby. The infinity pool on the rooftop is definitely the best spot for photos. The bedding and air conditioning in the room were very comfortable. Breakfast offered basic meals, and on the first floor, they also provided complimentary mung bean soup (after 6 PM), peaches, and local lycheu. The room rate of over 700 RMB is close to what you'd pay for a five-star hotel in the city, but staying in late June meant we avoided the peak season prices of July and August. The restaurant on the first floor also serves lunch and dinner, and you can order à la carte. The front desk staff were gentle and soft-spoken. My only slight complaint about this stay was on the first day, there were flies in the room, and the mosquito repellent spray bottle was empty.

Guest UserI stayed for two nights, and the room was beautiful and very comfortable. It was really convenient for visiting attractions like Detian Waterfall, Blue Cave Coffee, and Mingshi Pastoral. The breakfast was also rich and delicious. I especially want to commend the hotel's garden behind the building. After dinner in Chongzuo, there's usually nowhere else to go, but the hotel's garden is a hidden gem! You can swim, barbecue, and even watch movies on a giant screen. After a long day of exploring, it was so relaxing to unwind with a cold beer, some BBQ, and a great movie, while the kids played in the nearby children's area. It was truly delightful!

EatPrayTravelLocation of hotel is very convenient for travelers who take the tourist bus from either Chungzuo, Nanning or from Detian waterfalls scenic area. The room we booked had a nice view of the fields and karst mountains. What a beautiful sight to behold indeed. During the day, it can get noisy with all the comings and goings in the village and all around but at night, it was very quiet. The rooftop terrace was very nice and not busy when we were there. Breakfast was enjoyable with steamed buns, corn, soup noodles and boiled sweet potatoes- a healthy start for a very busy day. The very nice lady in charge of breakfast offered us breakfast on our check in day (we arrived at 10:30) and made sure we had enough to eat before sending us off to explore! We had never met a B&B operator who was so caring and generous. On our check out day, even though she was still busy with guests, she rushed out to bid us a fond farewell and a safe onward trip. Front desk and cleaning team were all very friendly, always smiling and helpful. All in all, a very warm and pleasant stay at Mingshi Scenic Area.

The room was a bit old and run-down, but the excellent service made up for it. All the staff, from the shuttle driver and front desk to the restaurant, were incredibly friendly and helpful. They even included complimentary tickets and a bamboo raft experience. It's a quiet and convenient place, definitely worth considering, and offers great value for money!

Located right inside the Old Kapok scenic area, by the Vietnamese border river, it's super close to Detian Waterfall, which helps you avoid rush hour traffic. Breakfast was at the Old Kapok Hotel, and the 'Lao You Fen' (local rice noodles) was delicious. This was my first time staying in a tent, and it was a great experience – I woke up to the sound of birdsong.

The hotel is a little far from Chongzuo but you can hire a Didi for about 380RMB from the chongzuo train station. The hotel is located in a beautiful park where you can take a walk and see the 100 doors (I think it was called) and walk all the way to the border post 3. It's was surreal. Across the river you can see Vietnamese house and people. we waved. a drone showed up we left. To go to the waterfall we walked from the hotel to the tourist center. About a 45 minute walk. Not bad once you get there.
The hotel is old and starting to show the tear. You can tell it was once great but no renovations have been made in forever. The carpet had stains on it. not tiny ones. The little mini balcony was dusty. The bed was big but on the hard side. The towels are frazzling it was unbelievable. The breakfast , if you are not full on on Chinese breakfast its a no no. AND no coffee EVEN though the COFFEE MACHINE looked like it had just been plugged off. sign sating being fixed. come on .It's a 4 diamond rating but it felt more like 2. It's also smaller than it links in the video and pics. There's an awesome restaurant at the entrance on the right. It made a whole lotta difference. Highly reccomend eating here. And we did!Twice. Food was not bad. definitely order the ribs. The staff is nice especially the restaurant lady.
Would I stay again? NO
