Very Good
YYanguanThe owner of the hotel called Susan and gave us fruit. The surrounding environment is more complicated, close to the train station, in the residential area, in the inner row, but this building is considered to be a stand-out group in the whole community, the external wall and the interior decoration are more ”normal”, unlike the surrounding buildings are ”unfinished buildings”, from the noisy block into the building, It was much quieter at once. The family room we lived in was large in size and fully equipped, although we didn't need to use the kitchen and washing machine. There are two bathrooms, which is so convenient.
Kkaijiao1meihuaThe only downside to this hotel was that my room had a side view of the Nile, otherwise everything else was great, including a lovely little balcony. The location is excellent – not only do you get a view of the Nile, but it's also close to the pool, dining options, and hot air balloon bookings. Magic Horizon is just across the street, and King Tut's is upstairs in a nearby alley. There are two Chinese restaurants within walking distance, and Luxor Temple is also walkable if you're up for it. The breakfast was very good. Although the elevator is small, it's pretty normal, not one of those run-down versions. The shower and bed were both good.
GGuest UserThe hotel has a small courtyard, garden, swimming pool in the yard, the room is also very large, the garden can be seen on the balcony, and the balcony is very comfortable. Breakfast is a simple continental breakfast configured by the head, which is also ok. The boss will ask you what time to eat tomorrow morning the night before? The restaurant brother will wait at the agreed time. I stayed there for five days. In short, it is not bad, except for the poor Wi-Fi signal, the socket is two round holes, and it is very loose, many can not be used, breakfast is less than European and American cucumber, tomato, others are fine. Outside the courtyard is two worlds. The road at the door is not hardened. It is a main street for a few minutes. There are some snacks, a small fruit shop, and a sugarcane juice is very good. You can go to the pier to take a boat to the east bank, the main center is the east bank. Short stay is not recommended, after all, carrying luggage is quite tossing, time is sufficient, there is not much demand for Wi-Fi. You can rest here!
JJeneJAfter the craziness of Cairo it was nice to walk into a place that felt more relaxed and homely. The staff were all very kind. Best part about this place was the food. The cook went above and beyond to cater for us. Very large portions at a reasonable price. Would recommend if you’re after somewhere more budget with a homely feel.
YYiwenjuThe location is excellent, right next to Luxor Temple. The most thoughtful touch was that even though we arrived before check-in time, the front desk quickly checked us in – the only time this happened during our entire trip to Egypt! 👍 All the staff were incredibly warm and friendly, patiently answering all our questions. Thank you so much!
If there's anything that could be improved, it would be that the hotel facilities could be updated (for example, the clothes hangers could be replaced with sturdier ones) to enhance the user experience.
The following pictures are of the hotel and the street view from our room.
GGuest UserThe room next to the pool is spacious and has dining tables and other facilities. The overall service of the hotel is also good. The location is also OK. There is a Chinese restaurant 10 minutes walk away. The taste is good, the dishes are large and cost-effective. Take a taxi to the Karnak Temple, about 50 pounds.
Suggestions for improvement;
1. The shower water flow is small, and it gets cold while washing
2. Some rooms need to be ventilated to keep the air fresh
3. The refrigerator in the large room of 001 needs to be thoroughly cleaned. It is an overlooked corner.
WWeimeng018The Steigenberger Nile Palace Luxor Hotel & Spa, while showing its age, still hints at its past grandeur. The rooms are incredibly spacious and very comfortable, with good amenities – even the TV is a Japanese LG brand. The laundry service is reasonably priced, which is a big plus for long-term travelers. Breakfast offers a decent variety, enough to meet daily needs. The hotel's location is convenient, within walking distance of Luxor Temple, making it easy for sightseeing and getting around. Overall, it offers good value for money.
GGuest UserIt is a fabulous raw and Rustic location in theHeart of Luxor. Just for an local life experience, we moved from exotic beach hotel accomodation to this Hotel. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly!! Best part was the Terrace, It is amazing. The photos we shot on it were simply mesmerising!!
The Staff were very very friendly and were always there for us in organize our trips, pick and drops!!
Overall we enjoyed our stay in Happy land Luxor!!
WWawadiussThe room is a bit shabby, and there is no kettle, but the service is pretty good. They are very enthusiastic when you need help. There are many children running around in the corridor. The door lock is a bit difficult to use, but it is satisfactory.
放放浪旅It's close to the station, but the road to the hotel is not well-maintained (this is true throughout Egypt), so if you have large luggage, it might be better to take a taxi. The hotel will arrange anything, including felucca, balloon, and transfer to the ruins. I had already booked the balloon and transfer to the ruins, so they arranged the felucca, but the time... I think the time was a little early. I came back just as other tourists were going out to the Nile to watch the sunset... To be honest, I think I would have been more satisfied if I had directly negotiated with the boatman along the Nile at the time of the scenery I wanted to see.
Hot water came out well and the water pressure was perfect. The only amenities were bar soap. There was no hair dryer in the room. I used one I brought with me, so I'm not sure if I can borrow one from the front desk. There was a bathtub, but it wasn't cleaned. In fact, the drain was clogged from the beginning, and my hair got mixed in, which was awful. The refrigerator was very cold, but I wonder if the air conditioner is controlled by the front desk? It didn't turn on even when I pressed the switch, so I asked the front desk and they turned it on for me. There is an elevator.
The clogged bathtub was the worst, but the hotel staff were all so kind (I told them I needed glue and they went out of their way to buy it for me!), and it was the only relief I felt in the rip-off town of Luxor lol. Thank you for your help.
