Tromso Hotels with Breakfast

A great place to just stay and view northern lights just outside just at the farm. 10-12 rooms so very nice experience. Have restaurant that you can hide from the cold easily and you can step out to view the northern lights when they are out. FYI: photos uploaded are taken by iPhone

Front desk service was friendly and upon seeing my membership status, gave us room upgrades. Though the room was clean and modern, the bathroom is in desperate need of an upgrade. The bathtub has what looks like years of yellow staining, showerhead from the 80s, hairdryer would struggle drying writing on paper. The fact there were no photos anywhere of the bathroom means they know exactly what I'm on about. Would not stay again purely because of it.

The location is fantastic! It's super close to the reindeer meeting point, the Northern Lights meeting point, and the bus stop. We were traveling with a toddler and stayed in a business room, which was very spacious with two 1.6m beds and still plenty of room. My only slight disappointment was that the pictures showed scenic views, but we were given a room on the 4th floor with a view of a rooftop and only the tip of a church steeple, which didn't match the advertised images. However, I have to praise the breakfast – it was absolutely delicious! Even eating the same things for three days didn't get boring. This is one of the few hotels in Europe with such an excellent breakfast!

This hotel is great. The restaurant on the first floor offers 24-hour hot water, tea, and coffee. There's an elevator and free luggage storage. Our ferry was at 1 AM, and it's only a five or six-minute walk from the hotel to the pier. We were able to relax in the restaurant and have tea, which was a very thoughtful service from the hotel, and we really appreciate it. The airport shuttle stop is also conveniently close, about 200 meters away. The breakfast had a good variety of food, including salmon (though without soy sauce and wasabi, only olive oil...). However, the salmon seemed to be limited; once a plate was gone from the buffet, it wasn't refilled... I wonder if asking the kitchen would have gotten more!! 🤭🤭

This hotel offers beautiful views and an excellent location. You can walk straight out to the Polar Adventure for boat trips, and there are many restaurants nearby. Just around the corner, you'll find the main street, making it a fantastic choice. However, you need to book early as prices can get very high later on! My son also loved the table tennis downstairs, playing for at least an hour every evening. 😆

The room has a living room that is quite big, the living room has a sofa bed, the dining room kitchen is connected, and the kitchen has a dishwasher, which is quite good. There is a supermarket seven or eight minutes walk away. It is very convenient to buy things and cook them by yourself. The only downside is that if the living room wants to sleep, the curtain is not wide enough to block the lights outside, and it is a bit bright at night.

An unpretentious but comfortable hotel in an unbeatable location in central Tromso (the third photo is the view from the hotel window). Highlights include the friendly staff (a shout out here to the ever helpful Petter), tasty and healthy breakfast, and comfortable sitting areas that mean you don't have to hang out in your room. Given the quality of the hotel it is surprising - and highly annoying - that they don't provide kettles in the room (I even offered to pay a deposit), the more frustrating because some photos on the site show coffee machines: so some rooms do have these facilities. The selection of toiletries is also surprisingly meagre - no shower gel for example, which seems unnecessarily cheapskate. My other gripe is that they need more individual tables in the breakfast room: finding a space at a long table feels reminiscent of youth hostelling... With these shortcomings noted, the hotel can be recommended and is good value for Tromso.

Overall, this was a good stay, especially for a long layover, though there are a few areas that could be improved. The bedsheets smelled and felt clean, but there were a few random speckles of black dots on two of the blankets that could be removed. It was a small detail, but noticeable enough to affect the overall impression. Rest of the hotel is clean and well-maintained. The bathroom could also benefit from more hooks or hanging space for towels and clothes. That said, we booked a room for four adults and it was pleasantly spacious. There was sufficient seating, and it comfortably accommodated two large suitcases plus three smaller ones without feeling cramped. The beds were also very comfortable. Breakfast was exceptional. There was a wide variety of options—from well-prepared hot dishes to marinated herring and smoked salmon. The selection of pastries was excellent, and beverages included Biola yogurt drinks, juices, and chocolate milk. Everything we tried was of high quality. There is also free laundry available on the 6th floor, which is a very useful perk for travelers on long journeys. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. El hotel está bastante alejado del centro de Tromsø. La parada de autobús para ir al aeropuerto está a 10 min. Parece poco pero si está nevando y llevas mucho equipaje hay que ir con tiempo porque las cuestas tienen hielo. Cuando entras, es una maravilla. Han renovado las zonas comunes y es súper bonito. Pero al entrar en nuestra habitación doble.... No estaba renovada. Es la habitación más pequeña en la que hemos estado en 8 días por la zona. La puerta no está en buenas condiciones. El baño parece de ”un hospital”. Para nuestro gusto la cama y las almohadas son incómodas. Las paredes de la habitación tampoco están en buen estado. Cuando fuimos a desayunar parecía otro hotel. La cafetería con vistas panorámica era preciosa. Y el desayuno tipo buffet estaba muy rico. Nos choca bastante la inmensa diferencia que hay entre las zonas comunes y la habitación.
