The Dock 69°39 by Scandic ★★★
"The hotel is absolutely beautiful, exactly conforming to my idea of Nordic design. The room is a bit on the small side; it's perfect for one person, but might feel a little cramped for two. Breakfast is extensive and entirely self-service. The hotel's location is very convenient: there's an airport bus stop right outside, it's a 5-minute walk to the Arctic Cathedral, and the city center is just a ten-minute walk away."
Tromsø Lodge & Camping ★★★★
"Overall, the lodge is okay, but location is a bit far from the city. Near to Arctic Church and Fjellheisen. Walking from the lodge to the bus station takes about 15-20min."
Scandic Ishavshotel ★★★★
"Location definitely the best with the view overlooking the Arctic Cathedral. Staff are friendly and also 1 of the Airport Express bus station."
Radisson Blu Hotel, Tromsø, A Verified Net Zero Hotel ★★★★
"The hotel's location is excellent, and the room facilities are quite comprehensive, clean, and tidy. It's very close to the main street, just around the corner from the northernmost McDonald's. It's only a 5-minute walk to birdwatching spots, about a 10-minute walk to the Arctic Cathedral, and a 20-minute walk to Tromsø Cathedral."
Clarion Hotel the Edge ★★★★
"Awesome comfortable 6 nights - great location! We got a partial sea view and partial Mountain View and city view all combined! Loved the wonderful delicious breakfast spread especially! So happy we got this place! The only improvement needed is probably the toiletries :)"
Aera - Aurora Glass Cabins ★★★★
"Despite the fact that it was early September, we took our chances and stayed two nights here in hopes of seeing the Northern Lights. So we paid extra for the panoramic glass cabin and boy were we ever rewarded with a show! The higher rate was definitely worth it as we had a great view from nearly anywhere inside the cabin. We also loved the breakfast, especially the warm croissants, delivered to our door each morning. We rented a car at the airport, and the drive with beautiful views of the lake was only about 30 minutes. If you plan to stay here, you need to rent a car as I’m not sure of any other way to get there. We ate our dinners in Tromso so we did not do the crab bake. The staff here went above and beyond making this place a true gem!"
Moxy Tromso ★★★★
"Convenient location being so close to the airport. Clean and the bar/reception area was good. Slightly disappointed with breakfast options and lack of amenities in the room. But overall it was a good hotel and we had no problems."
First Hotel Amalie ★★★★
"The price is really too expensive! I really have no choice if I book at last minute! There is a huge difference between the facilities and the price Not recommended at all!"
Comfort Hotel Xpress Tromsø ★★★
"Great location, friendly staff, clean room, had a pleasant stay!"

Smarthotel Tromsø
"The hotel is super convenient with the location, so many restaurants nearby, and the hotel inside is clean. Although the room is a bit small, still a good hotel to stay!"
Enter St Elisabeth Hotel & Spa
"Lovely spa facilities! Calm, warm and modern. Not overly crowded! Water, coffee and tea avaliable. Ordering wine to the day bed is a must, just enjoy the music and tranquility! Hot pool, regular pool and steam sauna with a lounge to rest. A monthly must with the spa pass as a local visitor !"
Yggdrasil Farmhotel Retreat, Spa & Yoga
"A great place to just stay and view northern lights just outside just at the farm. 10-12 rooms so very nice experience. Have restaurant that you can hide from the cold easily and you can step out to view the northern lights when they are out. FYI: photos uploaded are taken by iPhone"

"Great location and view"
Tromsø Apartments
"It was a great accommodation experience. I saw the aurora at home for two consecutive days and took a lot of photos! The overall decoration is simple but warm, the facilities are complete, and the landlord is very nice! I plan to book this hotel when I come to Tromso again! !"
Sommarøy Arctic Hotel Tromsø
"The only hotel in the area. The room is clean and spacious. Good food and service. Not much to do within the hotel, or cost extra like bathhouse and jacuzzi."
Mary Rooms
"The best part was the night time view from our window. And now the reality of actually staying there, Arctic Mary Rooms "Hotel". 1. Nice front door, with a pile of junk ceiling high at the side. 2. Needed a torch to operate key code pad outside, making a loud noise with every touch. 3. Boots strewn all over the hallway causing me to trip when entering. 4. Misdescribed Superior Room, no mention of shared bathroom and toilet. 5. Only one thin pillow each, contacted the manager (he had emailed us, to ask him for anything we need) but absolutely no reply from him. Rolled up our quilts as pillows and winter coats used for blankets. 6. Kitchen table, worktops, sink and hob covered in dirty old dishes and food scraps. 7. Dishwasher rammed full and not working. Not even one clean cup or plate to be found. 8. Cigarette stubs outside our room and smokers at open front door. 9. Constant loud stomping up wooden stairs for the bathroom and toilet, playing loud music in the shower, wet towels always on the floor, dirty shower full of product bottles 10. Smeared excrement on toilet seat, I had to clean before use, and blood smear on the wall by the bin. 11. Second night at 0130 in the morning loud door bell was rung every few seconds for about 30 minutes, then at 0155 loud shouting inside, I had to get up and call down for quiet. 12. Third night, double booking of room next to us, family was thrown out after midnight, with 45 minutes of crashing and yelled arguments in italian until 0100hours Avoid at all cost if you don't want to be stressed out"
First Hotel Backpack
"The location is excellent, right in the city center, and the price is great! The front desk staff were all very helpful! They offer free luggage storage! I stayed for 3 days, leaving early and returning late every day! It's basically a 5-9 minute walk to the meeting point!"
Thon Hotel Polar
"Impressed by the very good services provided by staff. Packed our breakfast when we have a morning ferry to catch, store our luggages when we are away for 2 nights. Location is convenient, room is of good size and clean. Perfect."
First Hotel Skansen
"The front desk staff were very friendly 👍. Breakfast was okay, but the selection wasn't extensive and the dining area was quite small with limited tables. The location is super close to the lively streets. Not bad 👍."
First Hotel City Tromsø
"We received a free upgrade. The lady who checked us in was bubbly and helpful. Our room was warm, clean and spacious. Very happy with our stay."
