My second stay at Selina with my partner, last valentines it was great but this time we had our anniversary. They had a better room available so upgraded us to a seafront room. But the room was absolutely freezing and the radiator was on a timer so it was off when we got back to the room around 11pm onward. The windows were really drafty and loud from the wind and rain outside and the duvet was thin. Pretty room and nice staff but pity about the stay. Not the best for a winter anniversary trip.

Didn't check-in due to change route. Nevertheless it location is great that it only takes a few mins walk from Brighton railway station.

It is a great location and friendly staff. But suggest allocating the same gender if the dorm has two single beds only; otherwise, there will be some embarrassment.

Good location. The staffs are very helpful. Free coffee in the morning is a good start for the day.

Shabby chic, with emphasis on the shabby. Really funky and hipster, but the water pressure is too low and there are a few other bits and bobs they missed or couldn’t afford in the renovation. However, staff service were lovely and I actually really liked the vibe and the reasonable room rate. Tea and coffee facilities in the lobby, not in the room, bit weird but not that much of a dealbreaker

The bathroom was mouldy and needed to be re-grouted. The taps were rusty and the bathroom looked very grimey.

Friendly staff, clean rooms. Daily change of towels. No hangers in the room, restaurant open only in summer, no kitchen.

The room is huge! The decoration theme of the hotel is very impressive. Everyone will be given a hand strap as a proof of hotel guests. A lot of activities are prepared for residents, remember to register in advance!

Special shout-out to the night time receptionist Koffee as he was so lovely to chat with and keeping an eye out for any randomers trying to get in! The free tea and coffee in reception was nice as there is no kettles in the room, it was annoying at first having to go up and down but actually nice as I stopped for a chat with the reception staff more. Actually all 3 of the reception members I interacted with were all lovely and so helpful. It was nice they were there out of hours as I checked in late into the evening. The rooms were very clean and bed linen was clean and comfortable. I would have loved a tv in the room , and maybe a jug for water & extra glasses. But nothing that would put me off staying again I’m sure if I asked they would have accommodated. I booked an en suite double as it wasn’t clear on the hotels site if that meant the standard double wasn’t en-suite, so thought I should mention that. The style and refurbishment of the hotel is great and very trendy/ if you are travelling for work it’s nice they have a cafe space during the day that you can work in, again staff very friendly in there. All in all, very good. Better for younger travellers probably but if you want something out of the boring holiday inn beige, would definitely recommend here and better prices too.

What I disliked? Well the Parking! Why not rent some spaces in a near by parking and offer them to your customers. Three days 90 £ is a bit much. But other then that it was a very great stay. The nice people on the front desk and the very friendly woman at the breakfast

Hotel from the outside looks ok stands out on the seafront. Receptionist was polite, door lock wasn’t easy to open for our room. We had a family room we did not have a desk or chair in the room and I found it bizarre there was no tv. One tiny radiator down the end of the room for a large ish room was absolutely freezing! Even when heating was turned on wasn’t particularly warm and there was no radiator or towel rail in the bathroom so it was Baltic in there! Shower was not what I would call a rainfall shower very small shower head that just about did the job but for the money paid for the room I wouldn’t say it is worth it. Wouldn’t stay again would be better off in a premier inn or travelodge at least they have decent heating and a tv. I did like the style of the room and the bunk bed was cool and my son did like it. Also very loud in and outside of the hotel so if your a light sleeper I wouldn’t bother. I would say this is still hostel status rather than a more upmarket hotel.

when arrive greater by a lovely lady very chatty and had loads of recommendations of where to go in brighton. got to our room and was slightly underwhelmed with a whistle through the window too when the wind blew. however it was no issue and the same lady gave us two other options to choose from. would definitely come back and i loved the eco friendly vibe too xx
