This is the hotel my husband & I prefer to stay in when we visit our college athlete daughter. (I mention this because we visit often so stay relatively often.) It is clean, the beds are comfy, and we enjoy the pool and the great breakfast. The staff are welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Several staff members asked how our stay was, if we liked the new pancake machine, and if there was anything we noticed at the hotel that needed attention; it was clear that they want their guests to enjoy their stay! We will continue to make this our first choice for visits to Brookings!

Great time overall! Your rates seem quite reasonable outside of the large Friday-Saturday night price bump. The whirlpool was great and our stay was very quiet without a lot of noisy guests.

The front desk staff were overall friendly and helpful. The hotel was extremely hot inside and could use a good cleaning. There is no elevator, which for me was not a problem, but for someone with limited mobility it may be. My room had a funny odor.

Everything was great. Check in was easy. The rooms were clean and spacious. The pool was smaller but still plenty of hours of fun for the kiddos. The breakfast was great and staff was helpful.

Room was extremely clean and comfortable. Very affordable stay-perfect for what I needed (one night stay for my daughter’s volleyball tournament). Would definitely stay here again!

Price overrated for a motel 8 in Brookings SD. Room underrated as well. For this much, go to the motels next door that have the right to price gouge.

Staff at front desk was great. First room we got had no heat. Front desk staff came to check and then moved us to another room. The second room had no working tv. Again the front desk staff came to check but was unable to get it fixed. We could have tried another room but at this point we said we would just stay. Other than that, everything was okay.

Was easy access from highway. Plenty of places to get food and fuel. The room was very clean and comfortable. Would stay there again.

Pool floor very rough and hard on feet. Hot tub very noisy. Booked accessible room but shower not walk in. That is NOT accessible. Read ADA guidelines.
