Bundanoon Lodge

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at Bundanoon Lodge. Ruth (and Millie) made us feel so welcome. The lodge has a warm, cozy, friendly atmosphere. All of the rooms have been thoughtfully decorated in different themes and the whole place has a French Provincial feel set in the beautiful Southern Highlands. The surrounding area is absolutely stunning. We loved staying in the Swedish Room. Ruth was more than helpful with information about the local area and provided us with a hearty breakfast that kept us going until the afternoon. We rebooked to return in April and we are looking forward to our next stay. This is a hidden gem.

This is my second stay at Bundanoon Lodge in 2 years (July 2022 & August 2023) with my husband, brother and sister in law. Love the homey and spacious feel of the lodge, beautiful gardens and large and comfortable rooms with all the modern conveniences. The rooms have french doors that open to a verandah overlooking the gardens. Ruth is a wonderful host and we loved playing ball with Millie the resident dog. The breakfast were lovely and included hot and cold choices and I have to say just as good as a cafe and included in the price of your stay. The lodge has lots of areas to relax including wrap around verandahs & 2 lovely lounge areas, large screen televison and fireplace. The lodge is such a warm and inviting place and we will be back again next time we visit Bundanoon.

We had a fabulous stay with Ruth & Amelia the last 3 nights. I can confirm a previous comment in regards to Ruths scrambled eggs...oh yes, delicious!! Wonderful hospitality from a very lovely hard working lady. This morning when we left Ruth, Melly and Nicki we felt we were leaving family. We're ocd clean so again, can confirm absolutely spotless & beautiful lodge in a very handy location. We had the English room...we couldn't believe how quiet it was and some comfortable nights sleep for us both. Huge thanks to Ruth (and fluffy little lady for the breakfast cuddles) for a fabulous stay away from home...we look forward to seeing you again.

Wow, what a magnificent place to stay, very neat, tidy and clean, could not believe how clean the whole facility was. Very spacious, cooking facilities excellent and plenty of options available. Would recommend Bundanoon Lodge for sure.

This is a lovely place and the host, Ruth, was very welcoming and produced wonderful breakfasts. The room was spacious and comfortable with all the things you need, including a mini kitchen. The surrounding grounds and gardens were beautiful and it was a very peaceful place to stay. There were two downsides for me (and these are why I have given four stars instead of five): first is that there was way too much air freshener (those smelly stick things in jars) in the rooms, corridors, and common areas, so I cannot recommend this place for anyone who has asthma or other respiratory issues. I spent two days with blocked sinuses and an irritated throat. I know many people don't have to worry about this, but I also know there are a lot of people for whom a fragrance-free environment is really important. The other minor issue is that there was no iron in the room. The only available iron was housed in the office which was not very convenient. For anyone who has no problem with an over-abundance of fragrance, it is a truly lovely place to stay and I can highly recommend it.

We loved our three days at the Bundanoon Lodge. We were in the Australian Room at the end. Huge room, spa, comfy bed and love how it opens up to the front verandah - great spot to sit and relax. Loved being able to take our dog on holidays too! Ruth is so welcoming and the little Touches around the house are just beautiful! Awesome brekky and great base to explore all the southern highlands! Will definitely visit again!
