Stayed here while in town for an event at the Grey Eagle. About a 2 minute drive to the event, gorgeous, residential area, dinner was great and the included breakfast was a la carte, not a buffet. Will definitely stay again if going to the Grey Eagle. Beautiful historical feel with black and white prints on the walls depicting a young Calgary.

Brunch buffet March 23, 2024. Server Megan was great, she came by perfectly on time for the drinks. She explained the buffet very well. Buffet was great, tasty food and a large variety of items for main and dessert. Very relaxed a**osphere with the online reservation it was clear your reservation was for 1 1/2 hour which was plenty of time to eat and chat. We enjoyed the brunch very much and will be back.

I was so impressed with the Inn. The room was on the smaller side but still beautiful and felt cozy, just like you were staying in a friends guest room. The food was absolutely amazing and the staff were friendly and very helpful. I will definitely be booking a return visit. It truly is a hidden gem!

Went for Sunday Brunch. Great service by Don once he noticed us. Good selection of food on service table. Great idea that hot food, included in price, (eggs & quesadilla) were not on the bar but came direct from the kitchen once ordered. Unfortunately eggs Benny were only luke warm and just a single. Able to order more though. Great price for seniors at $10 off of $35 Brunch price. Intrigued by dinner and bottle of wine offering for $95. Will return for sure. Disappointed that the "snake pit" had no mention of the PPCLI who used the Mess for decades.

I have never reviewed a hotel before, but I make frequent trips to Calgary and have seen the website and finally decided to try this unique boutique hotel. It is the best priced hotel in the southwest of Calgary. First off, the photos and website do not do it justice. The historical interest in nice but I just wanted a comfortable clean room. I got so much more. The room was very impressive in the design, decor and use of the space. Clean, modern and very comfy. Perfect for a couple or solo traveller. Also very quiet. The Pub restaurant and Flanders fine foods in the lobby were both excellent. Again, beautiful atmosphere in this place. This will be my regular stay when in Calgary.

Right from the start the whole experience was not great. We chose it because it was close to family we were visiting. Booked directly with the hotel but it was a difficult process. They don't answer their phones and don't return calls. Once there we were greeted by the rudest receptionist. Apparently she is also the event planner! After an unpleasant check in experience we hauled our bags up two flights of stairs (no elevator) to a tiny room. More like a walk-in closet. A small bathroom with shower and toilet. Sink is in the room. Tiny TV appears to be an after thought and is about the size of a small computer monitor mounted on the wall. Checked out the menu but with a steak dinner costing $105 each we decided to go elsewhere. All in all a really disappointing experience. Not likely to stay again.

I arrived at the Inn On Officer's Garden after a gruelling cross country road trip from Ottawa. My crossing was compounded with historical adverse weather conditions, resulting in multiple adjus**ents to my check in date. Despite this inconvenience, I was received in grand style, seamlessly checked in and found myself in my room which was exceptional in all regards. My standard room was tastefully appointed, with a very comfortable bed and a level of cleanliness that gave great confidence that guest health and safety is a top priority. The next morning I enjoyed a stroll around the Inn and was engrossed by the level of history on display throughout, be Royal, Military or local. The restoration of the building apparently took 2 years to complete. The Inn is "modernized old world charm" at its finest, with all the amenities discerning travellers or local stay-cationers expect in this day and age. Every meal I enjoyed at the Inn was top tier, so much so I conferred with the kitchen staff throughout my stay for their recommendations and pairings, which took me on a veritable culinary odyssey. I've stayed in many bespoke Inns over my lifetime across the globe, but despite their various beautiful locations, historical charm and inviting fare, the true test of a memorable stay lies in the Staff who have been assembled to serve the guests. This is where the Inn on Officer's Garden excels. The staff was totally on point. The Inn is currently firing on all cylinders. What was set to be a standard visit to Calgary became such an enjoyable stay that this is where I will now be found in Calgary whenever I visit, as my experience was that memorable. I will hold my local meetings here, so guests can visit me here to enjoy the old world charm, delicious fare and outstanding customer service. If you want a similar memorable experience be it as a traveller or hosting a distinguished event, the Staff of the Inn On Officers Garden will do you proud. I look forward to my next stay, though with reviews similar to what I've been reading here today, occupancy may become a real consideration as word gets out! Thank you to everyone at the Inn who made me feel like a distinguished VIP. Sincerely, James Dunsmore

Chose this place twice due to location and nice small size. I had a rate for a weekday then extended to a weekend and the rate went up, which I missed, and it was getting high for the size room. Parking lot is good size but not paved, more hard packed, but still something to be aware of if wearing good dress shoes or the need is absolute to wheel suitcases across it. No elevators, so not good for people with mobility issues. Location is handy, building is old and historic with lots of great archive photos from the Glenbow Museum on the history of Calgary and Currie Barracks. Room was small, dorm like, but nicely appointed. Love the brightness and multitude of great lighting in the room, good mattress and linens. My only complain was the walls are thin and noise really carries. The first time I stayed it quieted around 11, but quite hot in the room, hen the second time included a Saturday night which was unbearable from noise. The people weren't being deliberately loud, but all sound carried through their walls until 4 am, and I had to get up at 5 am. Someone was also outside with a car radio going, maybe a bit of a hang out. There are no room phones to call the desk easily. I could also hear other people talking in the hallways. For business, I will likely stay elsewhere to ensure my sleep, Also large gap under the door lets in quite a bit of light but can easily block with a towel.
