We have just returned from having a 1 night stay. The hotel is lovely and the gardens are stunning. We wanted somewhere peaceful to stay and this place hit the spot. The check in process was a little chaotic due to housekeeping staff not turning in so check in was delayed. However we were given complimentary drinks and they pushed our dinner reservation back so we had time to walk to Bream Cove and enjoy some time there. Dinner was great, excellent choice of wines. Our room was lovely with a private deck and we slept well. There was some noise from the room above but that's to be expected I guess. Breakfast was great, lots of choice. The staff here are amazing and really doing their best with smiles even though they were short staffed. The hospitality industry has been hit hard with staff shortages since 2020 but they clearly do have a small dedicated team here. I would definitely return with a view to staying at least 2 nights next time

Hotel Meudon is a great place, we had a very enjoyable three night stay 1st June 2024. The hotel is in a fantastic location with lots of walks around the area. The gardens and beach very peaceful and relaxing. The stay was very comfortable, the food delicious and all the staff exceptional, helpful, friendly and welcoming. Special mention, Izzy on reception wonderful welcome and Charlie in the bar great cocktails and conversation. We will definitely be returning.

Beautiful location with added bonus of yacht washed up on private beach! From reception by Suzanne and Kelly to all dining room staff found all personnel, friendly, efficient and fun. Room clean and comfortable with quirky touches from bygone era: Bakelite telephone and radio. En suite obviously refurbished, clean with excellent shower. Highlight was food which was excellent morning and evening. Steak ‘special’ on second night was probably one of the best steaks we have eaten out ever. Not faultless. Agree with some comments about cleanliness of curtain canopy in dining room. Easily remedied. Staff go the extra mile to please, food excellent, room fine. What more do you want? If you want corporate book a premier Inn or travelodge. Thank you to all staff. Went on deal after reading Telegraph article. Will return. Overall excellent stay.

We had high expectations (as we had been recommended this hotel a few years back)but in our view the gardens were in need of a lot of TLC. Drinks advertised by the beach but facilities all closed.The hotel was tired looking and dirty in places. (stained carpet in bedroom and lots of dead flies above canopy in restaurant.The restaurant served quite good food and the restaurant staff were excellent.(although only one pepper and salt for whole restaurant which was carried from table to table. We tried to book a spa session without success despite asking reception to help. The bed was so uncomfortable that we had bad back pain. We tried to change rooms as there were some availability but reception never came back to us so in desperation we only stayed one night despite paying for two. All very disappointing.

A charming hotel and botanical gardens with wonderful staff. A fun little quack of hidden ducks around the hotel to bring a joyful smile to anyone who spots them. I hope to see them again when I return. Quacking place to spend your day off or a little get away holiday

Three pages of complaints and comments were checked out as we left earlier than originally booked. No acknowledgement has been received which I think shows how interested the management is. Agree with most of the recent observations which is really upsetting when the struggling staff were so lovely.

Over an hour wait between starter and main meal. Starter of mackerel pate covered in a bright green, radio active-looking gel. Main meals terrible quality. Lamb ragu awash with gravy-granule type liquid and sole extremely salty. Gardens of hotel lovely, room hood and staff welcoming. Food an important part of the whole experience and felt it really let them down.

The best description of this hotel is faded glory. The staff work extremely hard and try to give excellent service however many public areas are not well kept, carpets needed vacuuming, the big windows in the dining room were dirty, cobwebs hanging from the blinds. The actual bedroom was clean enough but only attended every other day! The feeling was that they were short staffed putting pressure on the existing ones who we could not fault.
