Hotels in Tianfu International Airport/Jianyangnan Railway Station, Chengdu

Chose Holiday Inn because it was one of few hotels in Changdu to offer Non-Smoking Rooms. And the guaranteed 1600 check out time since our flight ETD was 1825. Alas the experience is less than stellar. First was the weird request to reserve the free airport pick up at least 2hrs in advance! Luckily, I asked our guide to do the reservation and he told us to meet the shuttle at T1 4F door 21 around 1825. The shuttle did arrive at 1828. The check in lady spoke good English, honoured our 1600 late checkout, advised and booked us to depart the hotel on their 1500 shuttle upon hearing our international flight was 1825. Room is pretty standard for 4 star Chinese hotels - with a dizzying array of switches and the usual modern looking shower with impractical features - no place to put your towels within easy reach while showering. It is not the worst though. Hotel is in a cluster of hotels around a 'food street' that was pretty sad state with little food and dining traffic. We opted to eat at the food stalls set up just across the road from the hotel. Hotel breakfast did have some western food but NO butter in the toast bread section! Due to it's distant location, we opted not to take a 2h public transport to Chengdu central but went to the central of the Jianyang satellite town that the hotel was in. Took 30min and 2 CNY pax. The other difficulty was trying to get back to hotel. The hotel doesn't show up in Amap or Didi app! Luckily, Amap does have the next door Ji Hotel which worked to guide us back.

Every detail is a great surprise to me thanks to the vincity to the Tianfu airport terminis making my overnight transit smooth as charm. The breakfast buffet offers a great array of cold, hot, fresh, noodle in soup, bakery, fresh fruit etc and the opening hours are so humanised to be earlier than the said 530am enable many commuters to catch their early morning flight. My visit coincided with the opening of The World Games TWG 2025 at Chengdu that may explain the uplifted security measures at the airport and hotel. Will book again when i next be in Chengdu.

Spacious and new nice hotel. Good breakfast. Comfy beds. Convenient for transit. Few min walk to checkin counter at T1. One con is that the hotel is on central air conditioning system. Too hot for us.

Our check-in experience yesterday at 5:40 PM was far from smooth. The more experienced staff seemed to be on a dinner break, leaving what appeared to be less experienced personnel, and we waited in line with 5-6 other guests until 6:20 PM just to get our room key. Immediately afterward, when the front desk tried to call for a shuttle, they were informed it wouldn't come to pick up guests. Consequently, with our Ctrip guide, we spent a frustrating 20 minutes driving and walking around the resort's sprawling complex trying to locate our room, 3-1.301. Adding to the inconvenience, the hotel's main square was under maintenance with no clear signs or directions. Later that evening, I called both the business center and the front desk from my room to request an additional bath liner. Both departments initially claimed the hotel didn't provide them. I had to explain that there was already one in my room and I simply needed a second. After a rather unpleasant discussion, they eventually sent one up.

A sparkling new hotel, the room is very clean with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good. Across the street is Sancha subway station. The service at the front desk was very good too, especially Sherry Li. She gave us a free breakfast voucher and also help my wife print out a paper document.

The Comfort Travel Hotel under Accor is in a good location, not far from TOD, so it is very convenient to order takeout, especially Starbucks and other complex restaurants. There is also a special library in the east next to it, which is within walking distance. The hotel decoration is very distinctive, featuring pandas and coffee. Parking is convenient and you can get to the lobby as soon as you get off the car. We chose a loft room. House keeping helped us to give us extra quilts and pillows. With simple modifications, the sofa on the first floor can be converted into a big bed for the children, and the two adults can sleep on the second floor with peace of mind. Breakfast is definitely a highlight, 29.9 yuan for one more person. I recommend everyone to try the tan and wonton below, which is completely at the level of a store. Overall, it is a hotel worth staying in.

The hotel hardware facilities are very good, it is worth mentioning that the quality of the service staff is very high, the room is very clean, and the aroma is very comfortable. The decoration style is simple, the overall quality of the service staff is also very high, whether it is cleaning or check-in, it is very smooth and feels very comfortable. My stay this time was absolutely delightful and heartwarming! The complimentary airport transfer service provided by the hotel was incredibly thoughtful. From the moment I landed until I reached the hotel, the entire process was seamless, and I didn't have to worry about transportation at all. I especially want to commend the lady who handled my transfer. She was incredibly warm and friendly, helping me with my luggage like family and patiently answering all my questions. Her service was so attentive and detailed; she even offered helpful reminders and advice along the way, making me feel such a sense of warmth and welcome as soon as I arrived in an unfamiliar city. I absolutely have to give a five-star rating! I'll definitely choose this place again for my next visit!

Because I arrived at the hotel very late, I forgot to take pictures of the room, but it was exactly like the promotional photos, very new, big and comfortable! The waiters and cleaners were very polite and checked in quickly. The breakfast on the second day was very rich and deserves a five-star rating!

I stayed here for a layover overnight, but access to things made it a challenge. The complex is still too new. There’s a few hotels there. I also feel it was poorly lit. Taxi access was a challenge. I fell in the dark area outside. The gift shop was nice down the street. Food delivery required going down the street by the shuttle, so bringing bags was not easy. I tried three times for a Didi. The landscape is nice, but I have no idea why that airport area is not better developed or why it is so dark around there.
